We were treated to an English themed room with adjoining bathroom, two windows to side and back of Inn. Bathroom has motion detector light that went out while in the shower and sensor doesn't catch movement from there! Wifi is free but difficult to get in room-works well downstairs. Owners were great for giving travel tips and quite personable. Would love to stay again! Easy walking distance from train station.

Tried this place for a quick drink early evening. It was the first one we saw and should have walked past. Bar man not at all polite, give the job to someone who appreciates work. He also had his fingers in his mouth whilst behind the bar, not good hygiene. The place is pretty scruffy and shameful for the area. The brewery really needs to get a grip on it. Needless to say we won't be going back.

A very nice setting, friendly staff, good quality food, tasty and hot, great pint of doom bar, felt like a proper inn due to the lovely roaring fire. There are rooms available but I haven't stayed in one yet, there is also a function room which looks good for a family gathering or a relaxed meeting, other people seemed to really enjoy their meals too. Will go back.

Stayed here as I was in the area for work. The bed and breakfast was reasonably priced. The room was clean with good facilities. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with plenty to offer. The barman on duty in the morning was very polite and professional. Overall a good stay.

What's not to like?
Lovely welcome, really clean bedroom and bathroom. Such a relaxed atmosphere and really good value for money.
Choice of meals, excellent. Food cooked to order. Great selection at breakfast time.
Room was really comfortable with bottled water, together with tea and coffee making facilities. Extra heater provided during cold weather was a nice touch.

Room Tip: Traffic noise at busy times outside window but nothing that disturbed my sleeping hours.
