“Absolutely gorgeous cottage in best cotswolds village”
Reviewed 26 December 2014 for a stay in December 2014

Our stay at Lavender cottage was wonderful. It's in a brilliant location, quiet street & walking distance to everything. Cottage is perfect, has loads of old world charm & character plus all the luxuries of today. When we arrived it looked beautiful as the Christmas tree was lit in the lounge room and the fireplace was on. Hillary had left us essentials in the fridge which were so appreciated. There are good quality beds, fresh linen, thick soft towels that made our stay so enjoyable. Hillary & Alister are ideal hosts, non-intrusive but available if needed. This was the most memorable accommodation on our 4 week holiday. We would highly recommend this cottage to anyone visiting the Cotwolds. After visiting quite a few other villages, we felt Bourton-on the-water was definitely the prettiest village and the best one for a base in the Cotwolds. Jane, Australia. December 2014

“Lovely cottage in the perfect location.”
Reviewed 22 December 2014 for a stay in December 2014

Recently returned from a lovely 4 night stay at Lavender Cottage. What an excellent location! Less than a minutes walk to the water and the town center which is full of gift shops, tea rooms and restaurants to explore.
The cottage itself was characterful yet modern, very well presented and equipped with everything we could have needed. Lovely touches such as the Christmas decorations, blankets, fresh cut flowers and a chilled bottle of wine waiting for us really made Lavender cottage feel like a home away from home.
The perfect place to relax and unwind, our only regret is that we didn't book for longer! We can't wait to come back and stay again in the summer!

Stayed in Bourton many times in the past. We must say the effort the owners made were exceptional.Lovely touches that made you welcome ie Christmas tree, red roses, bottle of wine and bread and many other treats. The cottage was very warm and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay.Thank you Hilary and Alistair for making our stay most enjoyable. Now if anyone disbilieves what I have said please go and stay there you will not be disappointed

“Amazing cottage in the perfect location”
Reviewed 23 November 2014 for a stay in November 2014

Some friends and I stayed for the weekend when we were attending a wedding in the Cotswolds. The cottage is in the perfect location, very central but just of the main street so the added benefit of being quiet. The cottage itself was great and all the little things had been thought of. Tea, coffee bread and wine were all already in the kitchen, umbrellas to use, fast wi-fi etc etc. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone wanting to visit the Cotswolds

“The perfect place for a Autumn weekend break”
Reviewed 20 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

My wife and I booked this cottage for a short break in October and had a fantastic few days. The cottage is perfectly located, just a two minute walk from the wonderful shops, tearooms and pubs- but off the beaten track so it is very private.
We were joined by my daughter and her husband for the weekend and there was plenty of room for us all.
The owner has gone to a lot of trouble to add the little extras that make a stay that bit more special and I would stay again without question.
