“exactly what we wanted”
Reviewed 27 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We would have liked to stay beyond the weekend so as to enjoy the pretty courtyard.
Such an attractive, comfortable cottage with immense care being taken by Lesley (the owner) to meet the needs of her guests. Handy to parking and walking access to the town.
Would certainly rebook.

“Perfect Getaway”
Reviewed 7 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

The service we received from Lesley even before we arrived was excellent especially when we had to amend our arrival dates. We also arrived to a lovely grocery pack. It was a nice touch and very welcome.

The property itself is in a great location being close to the high street and an array of shops, cafes and restaurants and less than 10 minutes walk to the station if you wish to leave your car and explore outside of Rye.

The inside of the rental was very comfortable and the decor and the fittings were of a very high standard. The stairs were quite steep and narrow but even my Dad who is in his 70's and has had a hip replacement still coped. As mentioned in previous reviews the beds were amazingly comfortable and my husband who is always up by 6am when at home slept well past everyone else. The bedding and towels smelt lovely and the towels were really fluffy.

I feel a lot of thought has gone into the comfort of guests staying here.

I loved Rye and the area and would not hesitate to return to The Find.

“Outstanding comfort and attention to detail”
Reviewed 17 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

I could write a review listing the many amenities of this property; the comfort of the beds, the cleanliness (5 stars), the appliances (including Bluetooth speaker and WiFi), but that wouldn't be enough. What sets this holiday let apart from the rest is the approach of the owners, which has been to set up a house that becomes home from home. So, they haven't gone for the cheapest options ; instead they have adopted an intelligent, generous approach. Furnishings throughout are modern with quirky artefacts, many of which have been locally sourced. There is nothing that could be improved, apart from being able to award this six stars!

“Perfect holiday home!!!!”
Reviewed 31 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Stayed here with husband and teenage children while visiting friends in Rye ... it is the ideal holiday home!!! Spotlessly clean, super comfortable beds and high quality finishes throughout ....it is one of the best equipped holiday homes we have ever stayed in!!! Lesley was very helpful throughout the booking process and provided a most welcome, and generous, welcome pack on arrival! Tucked away just off the Landsgate in a quiet location it has all the wonders of Rye right on the doorstep, plus its a 5 minute walk from the train station if you want a relaxing trip to Brighton or a stress free trip down from London. The cosy kitchen/living area was perfect for making meals, although we were tempted out by the wide variety of (reasonably priced) coffee shops, pubs and restaurants just on the doorstep! Had the best fish and ships ever (Merinos in the High Street) and you must visit the Standard Inn and the Globe!!! If you enjoy shopping in quaint little shops for art, antiques ..indeed just about anything...this is the place for you!! Lovely local art gallery and not a Next or Primark to be seen! FANTASTIC! I wondered if my teenagers would be bored but they loved it! In fact they often went out for walks around the town when we were exhausted!!! I cannot recommend this property, or Rye, enough. I really hope we are back again soon!!! Parking is not a problem in either of the two nearby car parks and you can park at the end of the little twitten that leads to the Find for free for an hour to unload. The weather was varied when we visited but when the sun was out it was lovely enjoying a coffee or pre dinner drink in the sheltered courtyard garden. Thank you Lesley for sharing your little slice of heaven!!!!

“Perfect Little Gem”
Reviewed 5 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

The Find is small, but perfectly formed.

Although it's only on a small plot of land and is three stories tall, the interior design has resulted in something that feels like a high end show house.

We had a great stay, it's almost in the centre of Rye, and although there's no parking outside, you go down a passage right opposite and you're at the car part on Fishmarket Road.

Highly recommended.

What a compliment! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Being an ancient town, very few properties located in the centre of Rye have their own parking. We are very fortunate to have 2 car parks very close to our property.
