Lovely cottage in excellent location for the old town. Lots of lovely little touches from the owner including the welcome flapjacks. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and are looking forward to our next trip.
We booked this cottage for our family visiting g us in Hastings. They have stayed here a few times. Communication from the owner is good. Plenty of space. Dogs are allowed which is great. Very clean and you will have everything you need.
On a quiet area of the old town and not far to walk to the beach. Everything is around you. Good restaurants and pubs
Would definitely book again.
A home away from home
What a wonderful cottage in such a perfect location. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated as well as spacious and cozy all at the same time. There are sea views from almost every window and the outside space is perfect for morning coffee as well as evening drinks. The owners have given it great thought and anything you could possibly need is there (and more)! There were 5 of us staying and it never felt crowded. The walk into Hastings Old Town is short if a bit steep but that makes up for the excellent food you can have there. I can’t think of a single thing to improve and can only say thank you very much!
I booked this cottage as we were holding a family event in Hastings. There were five adults staying here for the long weekend and it was more than comfortable. As then house is spread out across 3 floors, it gives you a sense of privacy. The views were unexpected, from all bedrooms you could see the sea and much of Hastings. The road is super quiet and the garden an idyllic little retreat. I would definitely come back. Our dogs loved it too.
The location of this cottage is fantastic for the bars, restaurants and shops of the old town and it is decorated beautifully.
Gill the owner was quick to reply with any questions and gave us a comprehensive welcome pack for our stay.
We arrived on a cold Friday afternoon for our girls weekend in Hastings to enter into a warm, cosy cottage with basic supplies available, as well as a cake tin containing flapjacks.
The downstairs is open plan with a kitchen, dining and lounge area. There is also a downstairs toilet. Up the 1st flight of stairs are 2 bedrooms, a double and bunk beds, and a modern bathroom with toilet, sink, bath including a shower. The large attic room is up the 2nd flight of stairs which contains 2 twin beds.
The sea views from the windows are lovely, especially sitting on the sofa in the lounge area looking out down to the sea.
The main bars and restaurants of old town are just a few minutes walk away and we found some lovely antique shops nearby. The sea is also on your doorstop, though the walk down is a little steep.
The attic room was a little chilly, but it was exceptionally cold outside and we found a plug in radiator heater in the cupboard which solved the problem. The seagulls are also noisey early morning, but hey this is the seaside and earplugs work well!!!
Overall this is a lovely old cottage with character in a great location and would highly recommend it.
