I have stayed in many 'dog friendly' hotels only to be disappointed. This hotel however really is DOG FRIENDLY!
You can even take your dog in the cafe/bar for breakfast / dinner / coffee with you and on either of the terraces.
They also have a 'boot' room where you can wash your dog down before you go to your room if your dog is muddy or sandy etc. Very handy!
Breakfast on Saturday morning was a little chaotic, the waitresses didn't come to take our order just hovered about, so after waiting 20mins we ordered at the bar. The breakfast came but they forgot to put bacon on. The waitress did however get some immediately. Breakfast on the Sunday morning was a totally different affair. We sat down and a waitress came over very quickly even though the cafe was busier than the previous day and took our order. The correct food came out very efficient. One thing I would like to say, the orange juice was warm on both days. Would be better served cold. All in all, the breakfast was lovely and as we stayed at the hotel we got 20% off the £9.00 charge which was a nice surprise.
There was not a hairdryer in the room we stayed in (Room 311) Kingsize Room, but I asked reception for one and they brought me one up immediately. Great service.
The room was nice and so was the bathroom with a huge bath, space for toiletries, nice big mirror and light above, shaving points, shower above bath. Complementary toiletries too which is a nice touch even if you bring your own as we do, but great if you forget!
The room had a king size bed, built in wardrobe with a cooler/heater unit in it for our use if we got too hot or cold. Very nice soft clean white linen, a chair and a deck and chair with complementary Tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits and 2 bottles of water which was fantastic as we do not drink tap water.
The hotel location is opposite the pier which is great and walking distance to the town and our favorite place Old Town. We managed to get parking on the first night outside the hotel and then in the car park around the back.
Great stay, great hotel and would recommend it to anyone (you do not have to have a dog to appreciate this hotel!).
It is a no smoking hotel throughout, but as smokers ourselves it didn't bother us at all.

Room Tip: If your with a dog, we choose rooms out the back facing car park as quieter side of hotel

Sat on the balcony yesterday morning in the glorious sunshine, looking forward to a cheeky Saturday breakfast. Very disappointing the staff were a little shy and very inexperienced. I had a sausage sandwich, when it arrived the bread was stale so had to send it back, when it returned the sausage were practically stone cold. The toilet experience was also incredibly disappointing, the smell in the gents loo was overpowering.

We popped in while at a show at the theatre next door.staff was friendly and we had a laugh at the bar ordered food from a simple but decent menu.food was out quick.fresh.and tasty...I did feel the chips was the end of the bag.lots if small tiny chips. The place looks tired and needs a coat of paint..our biggest problem was the chairs are horrible...small and upright...you not not sit still for long.probably one of the worst chairs I've sat in for years..why have them in a hotel I have no idea...it's a shame as the prices and service was good..
