Drunk porter with disgusting attitude to guests. Left a pregnant guest to carry buggy containing child up the steps and didn’t once offer help! He absolutely reeked of booze and his manner towards us was atrocious! We went from having a lovely check in and first night to having our overall stay in Brighton ruined.
We arranged a late checkout and were told to leave our car on the hotel forecourt even though we had planned to be out for the day. We were surprised but asked for clarification that no costs would be involved and even left car keys in reception should the car need to be moved. We got back that night to threats that police would be called as we owed £20 for “selfishly Parking there all day”. The money is not the issue we would gladly pay it but it’s the fact that we were told it was fine and that we wouldn’t be charged! It also didn’t help that we were spoken to like rubbish despite the fact we had booked 5 rooms there and given our custom! Absolutely vile and we will not be staying again!! Considering we had a large group of children, disabled people and pregnant people we found the service to be appalling and things we initially overlooked about the service shouldn’t be ignored. That Liverpudlian Porter is an absolute disgrace

3rd floor room with fabulous sea view despite the very heavy rain. Nice basket of essential stuff, including a spare lippy! Fab breakfast. Lovely friendly staff. Small car park, but train station only 20 minute stroll away.

My girlfriends and I have just enjoyed a girly weekend away. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel very welcome, and pointed out all the facilities within the hotel. Our room was at the front of the hotel with sea view and two double beds, plenty of room and also 4 comfortable chairs, there were lots of extras in the bathroom that were incredibly thoughtful especially if you have left anything at home! The breakfast has a good selection of food and it was all lovely! Would definitely stay here again it is within walking distance of the town and pier and was good value for money.

Staff are quite strange and the atmosphere of the hotel very odd. Reminded me of a murder mystery hotel. Very strict on not taking the key out of the hotel the receptionist literally went crazy that we need to leave the key at the desk. Bed very old and feet hung over the edge but nice views.

We have just enjoyed a comfortable stay at the lanes and had a lovely room overlooking the sea. The four of us were able to have one room with 2 double beds which was clean and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and professional, made us feel very welcome and were so helpful. We had a delicious breakfast both mornings with quite an extensive choice. We would all recommend and stay again
