I came down tonight for a nice meal and a drink with my husband as we hadn't been to the pub for a while due to work commitments. The food was only lukewarm and greasy and I have to say I was really disappointed. my husband's steak was blood rare and looked horrible. Standards of staff have slipped too, they are scruffy and miserable, even if you are happy their moods don't improve. Such a shame as it is a great pub. Please help to improve one of Brightons little treasures.

Had fabulous family meal for my son.
The food was delicious.
We all have different types of allergies and we were all able to order a meal with little fuss about changes, staff member was happy to check with kitchen to make sure it wasn't a problem.
Would recommend and we will be returning.

This a huge place and is always buzzing with people. The bar staff are really helpful and always serve with a smile. It can get really busy here but there's plenty of space including outdoor seating. Well worth a visit when at the Marina? I didn't have any food on this visit, but the Long Man beer was excellent.

Most Spoons are in an architecturally interesting building and as this is not, they make up for it with the location. In good weather the view outside is the constantly changing marina. Inside it’s bog standard. The usual reasonable prices, the usual hard working staff and a good range of real ales. Disappointingly, the dark mild never materialised as they were cleaning the pumps for the whole 2 hours we were there and the food was distinctly average with things like sweet corn on the cob, presented as two tiny barely cooked pieces. They were very busy even on a cold and grey afternoon but if you want a decent drink there’s really only here at the Master Mariners.

Good spoons, what you would expect but with the added bonus of a terrace with a view of the marina. Good quick service what is surprising is they genially stepped up the gin selection and options on the tonic change from the boring old schwepps which is a refreshing change
