On a very cold and windy MAY day we walked up and down Dorchester trying to find somewhere that allowed us in for lunch with our small cockerpoo. Nowhere to be found until by luck we stumbled on Potters Cafe . Dog friendly, really nice, knowledgeable staff and great tasty food .

We were happy to find a place in this well establiched and cosy cafe-bistro because outside it began to rain. Good coffee and cakes. An interesting old fireplace on one side. Toilets upstairs.

Visiting Dorchester on a particularly busy day, we were looking for a free table for lunch and stumbled upon this little treasure off the main high street.

By the time we found it, we were starving and with a tired and hungry toddler. Service was courteous and prompt (despite being busy) and the food was delicious and well portioned for the price.

It’s a cosy little place with a more spacious upstairs area and an outside courtyard for finer weather days.

We’re very glad to have found this café and are glad to support an independent concern rather than a larger chain.
