Nice but loud.

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 18 May 2024via mobile
This accommodation was dated as previously reviewed. But we were more than happy with our room (209). It was large & clean with plenty of wardrobe space. Hairdryer was good, towels lovely & changed daily. The breakfast was £17 but you could have whatever you wanted for that. Cooked Plus cereals & pastries. The bar was nice. In evening it becomes a young person's venue with very loud music. I wore earplugs & still struggled to sleep till the music finished in the early hours. However we were aware of this so it was our choice to stay there.

Booked this hotel for its superb location to concert venue - literally across the road. Arrived just after check in time and no spaces in the car park. Advised by reception to park in nearby car park - cost £7.20 for 24 hours and is an overspill from main car park - tip - on the road is doubly expensive.
Hotel is tired, basic amenities are broken - ironing board bent and iron had a rattling plug which we changed only to be given one with a broken plug casing, not ideal and a quick fix.
Our room was large and clean, apart from the dead spider next to the toilet - nice toiletries and towels in the bathroom.
Breakfast was lovely and generous with a good choice
I read some reviews about noise from the club, we didn’t experience this but it was a Tuesday.
Staff really friendly throughout.
Overall worth it for the location

Room tip: Parking limited but overspill car park on PayByPhone tariff (£7.20 for 24 hours)

From the time we checked in till the time we left. The manager was very welcoming. The staff are very friendly and professional. Breakfast was lovely. The room was very noisy but as we booked with booking. Com we wouldn't have known. Although it vibrated my sister and I slept through.

Room tip: Ask for a, quiet room

I’ve done a enough summers in Ibiza to be able to sleep through a bit of noise but unless you want to feel like you’re sleeping inside a speaker in Amnesia I would avoid. The room vibrates which is a new one and I’ve stayed at Ibiza rocks & not had this much trouble sleeping.
The food and drinks in 1812 was 10/10 but maybe next time I’d book the Hilton just up the road and have a good nights sleep with my 10/10 night

Room tip: Eat & drink here but sleep elsewhere

A great ‘non-chain’ hotel at the seaside. Stayed here with family for four nights in one of the family rooms. Standard double and two single beds, lots of space in the room for the kids to play around and plenty of storage for clothes. The bathroom was also large and we were kept topped up with consumables on a daily basis. The staff also arranged our kids toys in a different way each day which was nice. Overall the hotel could do with a little TLC like a fresh coat of paint and updated bathrooms, but the charm of the whole place is lovely. It’s just off the sea front but close enough for a leisurely stroll down to the pier and amusements. During our stay I was at a conference at the BIC which is literally a stones throw away. Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked to order rather than a buffet which was amazing, very tasty and speedy service. The staff were all very nice and friendly. We didn’t try the bar or restaurant but the menu looked nice. Asian tapas by the looks of it. Our last night was a Friday so could hear the bar and club until a little after midnight. Our room was on the second floor and on the opposite side of the building so didn’t get the worst of the noise, but it was noticeable. Would stay here again if in the area.

Room tip: Secure parking on site, bring headphones for a Friday or Saturday stay, close to the beach.

This hotel is need of an update. The room we had was quite large but very tired looking. The shower head was black and did not work well.
The room was fairly clean but there was dust on the skirting boards.
I would not recommend booking Friday or Saturday nights as there is a night club and cocktail bar attached to the hotel.Music is played very loudly and doesn't stop until 04.00hrs.Reception handed ear plugs to all who was booking in the same time as me.They did not help as the base was so loud you could still hear the thumping.
On a plus side the reception staff were very helpful and happy. The waiting staff at breakfast were also polite. The other plus is there is on site parking which is gated so cars are secure. There is a small charge for the parking.
