We enjoyed our stay in the Hermitage. It's a lovely hotel, well situated and within easy reach of the beach, and town centre. A path that takes you straight there without having to cross any busy roads. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There is tea/coffee in the rooms, as well as a TV and even a hairdryer. A comfortable lounge for those times when you've had too much sightseeing and just need to relax with a cup of tea, or even something stronger. On one day that we were there Storm Bert decided to make its ugly appearance which necessitated staying in the hotel all day. The Games cupboard in the Lounge came in handy for this. And you could order a bite to eat during the day without any problem. Whether you're there for a place to lay your head, or a place you can comfortably sit and read a book, the Hermitage has it all.
The one downside was the heating system which, in many of the rooms, is accessed on an electronic gadget which we never did get the hang of. I'm sure it's easy once you know how! But any staff member will be happy to help you sort it.
