generally good ,friendly staff in a great location. My only gripe is the breakfast buffet which never seems to be monitored so no fruit when I went to the cold buffet then hat to ask for beans fried eggs and mushrooms because the trays were empty.I then had to stand around for at least 5 minutes until they arrived.Would still be happy to return though

What a lovely hotel! So conveniently situated with parking. We had a lovely sea view room which was comfortable and warm. It was clean and stylish and the bathroom was well appointed. The staff were welcoming and breakfast was good with a selection of hot and cold options. Will definitely come back again.

We enjoyed our stay in the Hermitage. It's a lovely hotel, well situated and within easy reach of the beach, and town centre. A path that takes you straight there without having to cross any busy roads. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There is tea/coffee in the rooms, as well as a TV and even a hairdryer. A comfortable lounge for those times when you've had too much sightseeing and just need to relax with a cup of tea, or even something stronger. On one day that we were there Storm Bert decided to make its ugly appearance which necessitated staying in the hotel all day. The Games cupboard in the Lounge came in handy for this. And you could order a bite to eat during the day without any problem. Whether you're there for a place to lay your head, or a place you can comfortably sit and read a book, the Hermitage has it all.

The one downside was the heating system which, in many of the rooms, is accessed on an electronic gadget which we never did get the hang of. I'm sure it's easy once you know how! But any staff member will be happy to help you sort it.

Dear 481jacquih,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your lovely feedback!

We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay at The Hermitage and found our location so convenient for exploring the beach and town centre. It’s wonderful to know that you appreciated the little touches in your room and made use of our comfortable lounge to relax – especially with Storm Bert making an unexpected appearance! We’re also pleased the games cupboard and daytime dining options added to your experience.

We’re sorry to hear you had a bit of trouble with the heating system, but it’s great that our staff were on hand to assist.

Thank you once again for your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back to The Hermitage for another enjoyable stay in the future.

We’ve just had a wonderful couples weekend here for a 60th Birthday. This is a lovely hotel in a great location which is central for the beach, pier and concert venues. A short walk to bars, shops and restaurants. The rooms are modern and comfortable and the breakfast and dinner were delicious. The staff went above and beyond to look after us for 2 nights which helped make our stay special. The 2 night stay with dinner B&B with Prosecco is a great deal and we will definitely be back. Thank you 🙏🏻

Room tip: Parking was free which was great for our 2 night stay.

We stayed at the hotel on Monday night, whilst seeing a show in town.

Sea View room on 4th floor, recently renovated, nice rooms.

As the hotel was quiet, breakfast was freshly cooked as opposed to normal buffet, much appreciated plentiful, tasty.

All staff were very friendly and helpful.

We are from Bournemouth and enjoy staying here for nights out in town, central location.

We also did manage to get the smart TV to work without using the apps , however we aren't in the room long enough to worry.
