Difficult to find too many faults with the experience of staying at Langtry Manor. As someone who likes a bit of peace & quiet, rather than lively busyness, this was ideal.
I paid £53 for a Master Double (Room 8) on a Monday night in November. I didn’t see or hear another single soul in the place, but that’s fine by me! The room was a good size, as was the bathroom, and tastefully decorated.
Very elegant public areas, and a sprawling building with all sorts of staircases & corridors. The old bar (now closed) and a lounge room downstairs are available for relaxing with friends.
The only downside is no bar to get an evening drink, or breakfast on site. It’s across the road (over a roundabout actually!) at their sister hotel. Fine if you’ve got time & are relaxing, not ideal if you’re rushing off to work I’d say.
Free parking a bonus though, and a short hop from the seafront & other amenities.
