A perfect holiday destination

We had a memorable stay at Langtry Manor. The overall experience, from the reservation to the online check in to the actual stay, was seamless. Every staff we interacted were polite and service orientated. They were kind enough to offer us an upgrade as well as an early check in, which made the experience even more special. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

Difficult to find too many faults with the experience of staying at Langtry Manor. As someone who likes a bit of peace & quiet, rather than lively busyness, this was ideal.

I paid £53 for a Master Double (Room 8) on a Monday night in November. I didn’t see or hear another single soul in the place, but that’s fine by me! The room was a good size, as was the bathroom, and tastefully decorated.

Very elegant public areas, and a sprawling building with all sorts of staircases & corridors. The old bar (now closed) and a lounge room downstairs are available for relaxing with friends.

The only downside is no bar to get an evening drink, or breakfast on site. It’s across the road (over a roundabout actually!) at their sister hotel. Fine if you’ve got time & are relaxing, not ideal if you’re rushing off to work I’d say.

Free parking a bonus though, and a short hop from the seafront & other amenities.

Room tip: Free parking on-site

Lovely comfortable stay at langtry manor, staff are friendly and warm, the decor is beautiful. Only disappointment was the bar has been closed and there is no dining room anymore however their sister hotel 'The Derby' is opposite where guests can get a drink, have breakfast or meal. Breakfast was great with plenty to choose from and cooked fresh. We'll surely be back. X

There's something about Langtry's that warms your heart. This was our second stay and have to say we enjoyed it as much as if not more than our first time. We stayed in the kings suite and were amazed at the size and presentation of the room. From the 4 post massive bed to the original feature fireplace and fittings everything was just right. If you're looking for a period hotel this is great

Room tip: There isn't a restaurant on site but the sister hotel is a few steps away

Historical gem. Interesting history of Lily Langtry.
We stayed for four nights. Nothing was too much. Room was amazing (we had a suite). Staff are very helpful. Breakfast over the road, at the stunning Derby Hotel, was delicious and plentiful. We liked that our hotel also had a lounge that we could meet in, as we were with friends. Lots of chats over coffee in there.
The bed was so comfortable. Soft towels. Plenty of tea and coffee choice including decaf plus hot chocolate. Toiletries in the bathroom. They will service your room if you put the sign out.
There's not always a receptionist but that didn't bother us at all. We were very happy and would return. A gem.

Room tip: Just go over the road to the bar and for breakfast. Worth it.

A really beautiful and interesting building steeped in history but sadly now in decline. The hotel and staff are in need of some serious TLC. My friend and I stayed one night, and she told me that she had stayed at the hotel years ago - it was very different then, with a dining room and meals offered. The room cost is too high for what you get. We were at the very top of the house. Luckily we are both able to climb three floors with bags! We didn't have much with us for one night and good thing too as the wardrobe situation was hysterical! My room had absolutely no hot water and when I told the receptionist, she didn't look surprised. They don't offer any breakfast or evening meal but do have biscuits and tea bags with a kettle in the room. I used the kettle to boil water so I could have a small bath.
