“large spacious home in a beautiful setting”
Reviewed 14 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We travelled with seven adults for a family wedding. We stayed for four nights. The Old Farmhouse is on a farm with amazing views. Even the younger adults enjoyed feeding the pig, goats and chickens. The house has large rooms, with plenty of space for us all. The house was very well equipped with every thing you will need. It was very easy to get to, just off M5 and the town of Cullompton is five minutes drive away. We would of loved to have stayed longer.

“Wonderful!”
Reviewed 10 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The farmhouse was booked through Trip Advisor by our eldest daughter for the Easter weekend - 7 of us altogether including our 10 year old grand-daughter. The journey down was virtually trouble free apart from the usual traffic jam on the A303 around Stonehenge and Sandra was there to greet us when we arrived. There were daffodils in most of the rooms downstairs and Sandra had left us fresh eggs from her chickens and milk in the 'fridge. The whole place had a very homely feel about it and was amply equipped. We soon unpacked and found the bedrooms light and airy and we were beginning to feel relaxed very quickly. The view from the farmhouse stretched for miles over fields which helped! That night we went to a local pub for dinner and then, the next day, we drove into Appledore which was very busy, so we decided to go to Bideford instead where we had a lovely lunch at Velvet & Vanilla. We'd planned to stay in on Saturday night and play Mahjong and I'd brought a curry down with us that I'd cooked previously and a good night was had by all! The next day was designated as a total relaxing day and we had a full English breakfast using up all the eggs. We lazed around for the afternoon and then had a roast lamb dinner in the evening before packing for our departure the next day. Generally speaking, the surroundings were lovely and, during our stay, Sandra invited us to watch the calves being fed who were gorgeous! We also saw piglets and lambs and Sandra took our grand-daughter for a pony ride which she thoroughly enjoyed. Would highly recommend a stay in this lovely property and my only "complaint" is that I wished we could've stayed longer!

“Fabulous Easter Break”
Reviewed 9 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Have just got back from a very enjoyable stay at The Old Farmhouse. The accommodation was great and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you would need. Lovely views and setting. Sandra (the owner) was very friendly and helpful and kindly gave my 10 year old daughter a pony ride on one of their Shetland ponies.
Great stay and would definitely recommend.

“Fabulous find”

We stayed here for a few days en-route to a wedding at Deer Park Hotel. We had 4 adults and 4 children in our group and the cottage was perfect, we entertained other wedding guests for dinner on 2 of the evenings and the very well resourced kitchen made it easier. The owner is delightful and very accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and the pony ride was brilliant. I would strongly recommend this property and hope that we get to stay here again in the future.

The rooms are light and airy, particularly enjoyed the large kitchen. We had a wedding to attend in Exeter and were able to entertain our extended family for a Buffett the following day. We would certainly visit again.
