I rate this 5/5 for what you get for a great price, and not because it’s a top class swanky hotel. I Stayed for three weeks, so got a real flavour. This is a simple, no frills and somewhat dated hotel, but it is kept scrupulously clean and do not confuse dated with worn or tatty. The price, depending on where you book is about £55 and for this excellent, low-end price I got a cosy en-suite room with a small but perfectly good digital tv, daily linens, basic toiletries, comfy bed and a courtesy tray that was re-stocked every day of my three weeks. The en-suite shower room is clean and modern and the shower hot and powerful.

You also get a free full English or continental breakfast - including more toast and coffee if you ask - all entirely waitress-serviced. The waitresses - all eastern european and an excellent reason why Brexit sucks - provide excellent service that is polite, rapid, accurate and unobtrusive.

This place is no swanky, modern chain hotel, but it Is is cosy, comfortsble, well serviced and with a good breakfast through an in and all for about £55, a great place I’d book again and no worries.

Stayed here whilst in Exeter for an interview. Hotel was clean, staff were very friendly and helpful, shower was good and breakfast was very good. It is located on a busy road but that didn’t bother me as I always wear earplugs anyway. Very good value and I would definitely stay again if I’m back in the area.

Great hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Family room at the rear of hotel was spacious and quiet. Plenty of free parking and the full English breakfast was very good. Would recommend, even the wife was impressed!

Forced two night stay at hotel due to snow!! Very friendly staff, a comfortable room, excellent breakfast, freshly cooked. Pub within easy walking distance away even in the snow. Would revisit if in area again.
