Unlike a recent reviewer, we only have praise for this lovely area which has been looked after well and has some imaginative planting. We know Dartmouth well having had a business here many years ago, and we never cease to be utterly delighted when returning. Park is great for a rest after visiting the shops or strolling along the adjacent embankment or visiting the many independent shops...

Settled here for lunch twice during our stay, a very peaceful place in the centre of town. Depending on where you sit you can see the river. Plenty of shops around the periphery to buy a variety of foods and drinks for lunch. Conveniently placed next to the main car park, tourist information and toilets. Sometimes there are musicians performing there too.

Lovely gardens with lots of seating, a bandstand, and great all round views.
A good way to relax whilst doing a whistle stop tour of Dartmouth.

Dartmouth council operated, and I know they are in financial chaos, but come on, this is the show piece of the town, was bad last year and just as bad this year, flower beds!!! need weeding and some planting would be nice, very poor show, sadly

Situated immediately adjacent to the main centre car park, the gardens provide a pleasant and relaxing oasis in the center of Dartmouth, such that one can almost forget the traffic just yards away.

Attractive gardens, plenty of seats, a bandstand and often live music to help while away a short rest cure before braving the other town attractions.
