“Fab little cottage”
Reviewed 13 May 2014 for a stay in December 2013

We a family of four and one dog spent Christmas at this cottage and really enjoyed our week here, the cottage was very cosy and had everything needed for a comfortable stay, the cottage was a very short walk from porthmeor beach and very close to the town centre, the lack of parking was a bit of a pain but we bought a weekly ticket for the nearest car park so wasn't too much of a problem! we would definitely stay again

“Charming, cosy cottage in a great location for exploring St. Ives”
Reviewed 30 April 2014 for a stay in September 2013

We really enjoyed our stay in Ancient Lights. The cottage is well maintained, very comfortable, and superbly placed for exploring the town. Parking is always an issue in St. Ives, but we managed to find a place in a nearby municipal car park without too much trouble. Overall, highly recommended.

“Lovely little cottage in a great location.”
Reviewed 20 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We had a nice week at Ancient Lights. St Ives is lovely and this cottage is in a perfect location near Porthmeor beach. Cottage was clean and perfect size for 3 of us and 2 small dogs. We had a lovely welcome with a cream tea waiting for us on the kitchen table which was great after our long journey. Beds are comfortable and cottage had everything you could want. Only negative points were we had very poor phone signal and no Internet access all week even though it was provided. The garden was opposite the cottage and was an elevated space but had no fence around it so would be unsafe for children or dogs and was rather unkempt and dirty. There is no other outdoor space. Also you are very near the beach so if you are a light sleeper take earplugs as the VERY noisy seagulls start early! There is no parking at tge cottage, which is the case for lots of properties in St Ives and because of the sheer volume of people, parking is a nightmare. We ended up paking a 15 minute uphill walk away - but a nearby bus can get you to carparks out of town. However, I would still recommend this cosy cottage and fab location highly.
