“Fabulous Cottage, Fabulous Location, Everything you need.”

We stayed at Primrose Cottage for 3 nights in the Easter Holidays. The Location of this cottage is brilliant. We parked the car at the front of the property the day we arrived and didn't get in it again until we left. The cottage itself is top quality and spotless. Everything you need is there and on arrival we were greeted with a welcome basket with coffee tea, milk and amazing fresh scones with clotted cream and preserve, what a welcome! The rooms were all well appointed and we didn't want for anything the owners have considered everything, and everything is of good quality. The sofa was comfy, the ipod and docking station was a lovely touch and the kids were pleased with the wifi and the wii. Also had a DVD player. We stayed during a really cold spell and the heating and hot water were more than efficient. The beds are comfortable (one double, a bunk bed and a single) so we had really good nights sleep after all the sea air. The best thing about this cottage is the location. Within a couple of minutes you really are at the beach and the Tate Gallery, and a couple of minutes in a different direction you are at the harbour.(both steep hills so may cause a problem to those with walking difficulties) the costal path is really close.
All of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay here (2 adults 2 children aged 10 and 13) and wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back.

“Home from home”
Reviewed 16 January 2013 for a stay in January 2013

We had a short break for 3 nights and liked the look of this property & reviews so decided to give it a try, we know St Ives well having stayed there on numerous occasions.
We contacted the owner Charlotte via email & were surprised at the quickness of her response. The booking process was efficient and thorough and we had to leave a £100 damage deposit which was promptly refunded when we returned home.
Towels, linen and a welcome pack of tea, milk, a Cornish Cream Tea were provided which was great.
The property was spotless and finished to a high standard and had everything you could wish for.
There were 3 bedrooms one was a double and another had a single expanding bed and the 3rd a bunk bed.
There was a Ipod with dock, a Wii, a TV/DVD player and a range of games to keep you amused.
There was central heating which was handy in January which worked well (although wasn't the easiest to work out how to use) and there was a boost facility to use for extra hot water or heating. We had to use it one day as didn't have enough hot water one morning when we had a lie in.
The kitchen was high spec with a dishwasher, washing machine, Fridge freezer, Cooker & Induction Hob.
The bathroom had a great shower and a corner bath and a heather towel rail that got really hot!
As parking is a premium in St Ives it was great to have parking right outside the property and was also great having a Newsagent / convenience store right opposite.
There is also a nice outside decked area and a shed with wetsuits and body boards.
It is a short walk into town or to the nearest beach (in front of the Tate gallery) however it is a fairly steep hill to get back which was not an issue for us but could be for someone with walking difficulties.
The main bedroom was comfortable and had a good sized built in wardrobe and chest of drawers and the double bed was comfortable, it also had a hair drier. The addition of a bedside or above bed reading light that you could turn off from the bed would have been nice, as would an alarm clock, but not essential.
Having a sea view from the main bedroom was lovely, and the black out blinds worked well as did the double glazed sash windows.
The property benefits from having a security code rather that a key which makes arrival & departure easy.
The wifi was great and worked well.
We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and well equipped cottage and would have loved to stay longer!
Definitely recommend Primrose Cottage & would return.

“Beautiful cottage in a stunning position”
Reviewed 9 January 2013 for a stay in December 2012

I stayed at Primrose Cottage with my wife and our 3 children mid December and had a wonderful week. The cottage is very comfortable, very clean, and thoughtfully decorated. Having a Wii for the kids and Wifi were real bonuses and the advantage of the parking for 2 cars was fantastic. Waking up to views of the sea, short strolls to both the beach and town, plus the great restaurants and all St Ives has to offer made this a great week. We will definately stay in the cottage again without any hesitation.
