We went to the Pedn Olva for a meal last week. My husband had fish and chips, the batter was not cooked properly and I have roast chicken with bubble and squeak, which was awful. The service was very poor, we had to ask for the menu, our plates to be cleared and for the bill. The view was lovely, but they need to review the cooking and the service.

Stayed here for one night midweek... absolutely loved it. Staff were welcoming, friendly and we arrived to be told we had been upgraded. Room was small but wow, what a view! Immaculately clean and finished to a high standard with a really comfy bed. Great night's sleep was guaranteed but they do ear plugs and eyemasks if the sound of the surf is too much for those not used to it. We left the patio open to make the most of it!

Breakfast was great too, continental buffet and choice of hot dishes too. Waiter recommended the haddock and I have to say it was very much worth it. Overall breakfast service was superb.

Wouldn't hesitate to stay again... any negatives? Parking a little pricey but close to hotel (park in the train station). Only a minor point though.

Well done to all the staff!

Spent a birthday weekend here and it was really lovely.. amazing location, right on the rocks of the harbour with beautiful views!.. very close to town and all that St Ives has to offer.. hotel breakfast was yummy and so happy they had a great veggie option too.. room was a bit noisy because I think we were directly under the restaurant but it didn’t spoil our stay, would def stay here again x

Room Tip: Get one with a balcony if poss

Stayed here from 23rd March until 25th March 2018 to celebrate my mum's 80th birthday.
We were greeted by very friendly reception staff after our long journey from Lancashire and shown to our rooms. Both had lovely views of the sea and the rocks.
We booked the dinner, bed and breakfast offer which included a two course meal. The meal was delicious, we had scallops and steak.

Location was fantastic, just a 5 minute walk to the town and on the other side, a long coastal walk with breathtaking views.

I stayed here as a child and wanted to come back with my mum - the hotel still has the same lovely character and warmth that I remember.
