Staff friendly and helpful. Lovely well laid out hotel. Breakfast good. Room comfortable and clean. A pleasure to stay at this hotel.

Unfortunately, Penzance Taxis are totally unreliable. Ordered 1 taxi for a specific time in the morning and after 10 minutes no-show, ordered another. That also did not show and so we walked, with bags, to the train station, making it with 3 minutes to spare. The day earlier, taxi driver stopped at the hotel but too lazy to get out of the car and open the boot. Penzance probably the worst place we have ever been in regards to taxi services. Pity, because such a good hotel deserves better service for its clientele.

We enjoyed dinner and a breakfast in this great little pub. It wasn't overly crowded or noisy on our visits. The customer service is attentive. The white bait and fish and chips were delicious. For breakfast there is a good choice and decent size servings. Our stay was also great in a really good size room and bathroom. The room was on the top floor with lots of natural light and you are woken by the sound of the many seagulls nesting nearby. Highly recommend!

Loved our meal at the queens hotel today! We are local but have never been in as it we’ve never really noticed it before. Not much to look at from the outside and no sea views etc. but so glad we tried! I’m a vegetarian but my partner isn’t. Sometimes i find the veggie options a bit bland elsewhere but i had a great veggie lasagne, salad, garlic bread and hand cut chips. Superb! Simple but really well cooked and tasty. I loved their chips, never a fan of the bog standard frozen types. Lots of choices on the menu and all home cooked. The staff were really friendly too. Will definitely be going back! Thanks so much

Turned up soaking wet and miserable with a fed up Labrador in tow. We were delighted to find a warm welcome from staff, comfortably laid out interior and food that could not be better. Beef stew & dumplings for shivering hubby and the best dish of mussels in a long time, delicious sauce and not over cooked.

We went here for lunch and the restaurant was rather quiet which can be concerning. BUT, our food was delicious -ordered fish stew absolutely delicious, as was the cheeseburger, ploughman’s meat & cheese.
Pleasant interior, clean and no loud music so we were able to talk.
Wouldn’t hesitate to eat here again before I leave St Ives.
