Little Hendra is the absolute perfect retreat in Cornwall. We visited with our children, age 17 and 9 and we arrived and were met by Colette & Andrew, who are the perfect hosts. The cottage is beautifully presented and impeccably clean. There was a cream team waiting for us and a chilled bottle of white in the fridge, what more could you want after a long drive from home. We had the most amazing week,. We normally stay in Padstow and this was our first stay out of town and definitely not our last at our new found favourite home from home. The location was perfect, a short drive to Port Isaac, Padstow and Wadebridge. There is a lovely farm shop and tea rooms a short drive away and a perfectly equipped kitchen if you feel the need to eat in. Andrew and Colette are on hand if you need anything at all but equally the cottage feels very private. Amazing stay and not our last !

“Fabulous Cottage”

We stayed at the cottage from 8th - 15th August 2014. What a delightful cottage. Beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you could possibly need. both the bedding and the towels supplied were of lovely quality and the beds were very comfortable. Not overlooked at all, complete with our own private garden and patio and in a really good location close to lots of things to do. The property owners (Colette & Andres) could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The cream tea and bottle of wine awaiting us on arrival were most welcome and a lovely surprise.

“Exceptional cottage + the perfect setting = magical holiday”

It's easy to run out of superlatives when trying to describe Little Hendra. The cottage has been finished to an exceptionally high standard and the little touches provided by owners Colette and Andrew really are the icing on the cake. From the cream tea on arrival, to the milk and chilled bottle of wine, these all made the end of a long journey much less stressful than on previous holidays.

The cottage is in a wonderful setting, with glorious west-facing views out over the surrounding countryside, which can be enjoyed from the very safe and private garden and patio or from the bedrooms and sitting room. Some of the sunsets were amazing!

Little Hendra is perfectly located to explore the area around Padstow and Port Isaac, but very convenient for further afield. The addition of a convenience store and petrol station 5 minutes up the road is a bonus. There are several top notch pubs all within a 10 minute drive, all serving excellent food.

Andrew and Colette are the perfect hosts: keen to ensure your holiday goes well, but not intrusive.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage to my family and friends (providing they don't want to book it when I do!!)
