“Great little cottage & good base to visiting cornwall.”
Reviewed 28 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Had a lovely week away in July. The cottage is small and perhaps a little dated but is clean and tidy. It has all the things you need from a holiday base in Port Isaac. could do with shower attachment in the bathroom as some other reviews say. Parking at the school house was great and really is just a 2 mins walk up the road. Would recommend and hopefully stay again in the future.

Pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Port Isaac is a delightful village.
I have noted your comment about the lack of a shower and will have a word with the plumber.
We look forward to you returning and hope that summer will be like summer next year!!

“Quirky experience of how they used to live.”
Reviewed 18 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Excellent location to also reach many of the attractions and beaches in Cornwall. Cottage was adequate for the three of us, well equipped with utensils etc. reminded us of childhood living! Nice and warm on the colder nights. Would have benefitted from at least a shower attachment on the bath, but hey, we survived it without! Port Isaac is charming, narrow streets steep hills, cobbles, memories of a bygone age. people very friendly and loved every day of it.

Pleased that you loved the cottage and Port Isaac as we do. Sorry about the lack of a shower, we have had two plumbers in to assess installing one. It was obvious that they just did not want to do the job. We will keep on trying,
Best wishes Christine Dawson.

“Charming Cottage”
Reviewed 10 November 2016 for a stay in May 2016

The Fisherman's Cottage is a charming home with a family feel to it located a few metres from the slipway at Port Isaac. It's perfect for a couple or small family looking for a comfortable and simple base from which to explore the Cornish coast.

I have self catered for may years on and off and never have I stayed in a property such as this. Dark and dingy and smelt very damp. Years of rubbish ( leaflets etc) . the living room was like a tip. Furniture too big for the cottage. looked like somebody had gone to auction and picked up furniture which was old, dirty and fit for God's waiting room.. Had to search for stuff like the iron etc. The bath was so old it had lost its enamel - awful. I appreciate that you cannot put showers in all bathrooms but one fixed to a tap wold be OK. If this had been a beach holiday , which if the weather had been kinder could well have been, instead of showering after being on the beach I would have to have bath !! Not good. The wardrobe were full of linen which was a space I would quite like to have used for my stuff. One of the beds in the downstairs bedroom was so sqeaky it kept my husband awake , so I moved up to the bedroom on the top. ( no mattress cover) so we slept separately :( ... A total rip off for what I paid - Because of its location people pay the money and the owners know they can get it. Appalling behavior. The property needs gutting - Came home early very dissapointed

I just do not know what to say. The previous reviews are all good. I have never had a complaint before, visitors usually wish to return for another holiday.
