“Lovely cottage”
Reviewed 5 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Great little cottage, very clean, comfy bed, and well equipped kitchen. All great foundations for a fabulous break!

The apartment is in a quiet area on the edge of town and is a very pleasant short walk in to the centre.

Polperro is a lovely little village that retains a local feel and you get a very friendly welcome everywhere you go. There's lovely walks you can do around the cost. Don't leave without trying a pasty from the bakery, they are delicious!

We will look forward to returning to this cottage.
A great car and traffic free break!

The Ryder is situated within The Cottles bed and breakfast in a quiet location just a short, pleasant stroll away from the village centre of Polperro. It is situated on a narrow lane which may be a concern to nervous drivers who may wish to park on the convenient car park nearby. The cottage is cosey, warm and well equipped. The owners, Jo and Mark are friendly and welcoming. Polperro itself is very picturesque and unspolit but has several good pubs, quirky shops and cafes. The Blue Peter is worth a visit serving real ales and good food and The Old Mill serves reasonably priced, delicious home made food (if you are lucky you may catch the Polperro Fisherman's choir rehearsing here). Polperro is ideally situated to gain access to the coastal path with breathtaking views. We were lucky enough to see a seal resting on a rock from the coastal path. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
