Dear Guests, Lovely to welcome you and happy you had a comfortable stay and enjoyed your dining experience whilst here. The sunrises and sunsets are weirdly beautiful in the Penzance skies at the moment, and look forward to seeing you again when next in the area.
We came here with a groupon deal with friends for a weekend. The staff are absolutely lovely, very helpful and keen to offer advice of where to go. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night which was a bit mixed, some of the courses were really tasty, all presented wonderfully, but a couple of the dishes were not great- but we were given free pud to make up!
Allin all, a really lovely weekend at a really comfy and super clean hotel- slept like babies and would recommend it as a place to stay in Penzance .
Dear Guests, it was a pleasure to welcome you and your friends. We are all very pleased you enjoyed a comfortable stay and look forward to seeing you again.
We had a short stay at the Hotel Penzance and were greeted with a very warm welcome, The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable, and with it being up on the hillside, you get nice views of the town and ocean. It's an easy walk to the train station and to the town's waterfront, restaurants and places of interest.. My only regret is that we didn't have more time to stay!
Dear Guests, it was a pleasure to welcome you and glad you had a lovely comfortable stay with everything you needed in your room. We look forward to seeing you again. Look out for our great deals from October until March.
A very pleasant, well located hotel, with views over the harbour and town. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. All the staff were helpful and professional. The dining room was spacious with great views. The evening meals varied from good to very good, and the breakfasts were excellent. The only glitch was that on checking the bill we found that we'd been overcharged 40 pounds which was immediately refunded with apologies.
Dear Guests, many thanks for your positive review. We are all very happy you had a lovely comfortable stay and were able to relax, indulge, taste, drink and enjoy the services we provided. Looking forward to welcoming you again next time, from another stunning day here in Penzance
I am mid stay at the hotel with my family (hubby and two very young children)
We’ve been made to feel so welcome.
Our room has a stunning view and is a great size.
The breakfast I ate this morning was out of this world. Cooked to perfection (wonderful poached eggs) and the continental offering which we also sampled was delicious too.
The staff have been lovely - particularly the Hungarian waitress in the restaurant, but really they’re all of helpful and happy.
Lastly, the complimentary coffee and cake in the afternoon is a really lovely and special extra touch.
Very classy place. I’m difficult to please but I am impressed. Thankyou Hotel Penzance. We don’t want to go home!!
Dear Guests, it was our pleasure to welcome you and your lovely family. Thank you for giving us five stars and we all look forward to welcoming you again when next in Penzance.
First impressions of the Hotel Penzance were good - it sits on a hill with a commanding view over the sea and is a relatively easy walk from the train station. There is ample parking if you arrive by car. We had just come off the Riviera Night Sleeper and did not expect to be checked in so early, but the front desk manager was so friendly and kept our bags for us and offered us breakfast and a freshen up which was very kind. We checked in properly later in the afternoon and had a great reception, being shown to our room and around the hotel and restaurant.
The internal décor is reasonably contemporary and there are some good pieces of art scattered around some of which by a local artist are for sale. There are a number of relaxing rooms to sit in, one of which has an honesty bar; there is also a nice bar, outside terrace and very good restaurant. There is an outdoor pool and sun deck for summer use. Our room was immaculately clean and in good order; well apportioned and had every amenity you could want. Lots of space and a very comfortable easy-chair. There is a desk, complimentary water and tea/coffee (Nespresso Machine) and wine at a cost. The TV had a good selection of channels. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was good quality. Bathroom was a good size, modern and spotlessly clean. Towels are good quality as well.
The view from our room (10) was looking out to the sea and St Michael’s Mount to the side. We did not eat dinner in the restaurant but did have cocktails which were very nice and reasonably priced. The drinks menu is generally good and there is a good selection of wine. I would particularly recommend the young (2017) La Chamiza Malbec which was unlike any from Medoza that I have tried before – very light and fruity.
Breakfast was exceptional – a good selection of continental offerings and a selection of cooked dishes made to order. All fresh food and served with a smile and quite efficiently.
In summary I would say that this hotel is the best in Penzance in terms of service and quality. This is reflected in the price, but then if you want the best you pay for it.
Dear Guests, thank you for giving a top marks review and happy the team provided a great service during your stay. We all look forward to welcoming you again next time to relax, indulge, taste, drink and enjoy more of the same.
