our room at the carnmouth had amazing views of fistral beach with a lovely balcony.
the room was a large double , the bed was very comfortable , very.very clean. powerful, hot shower. lots of room to hang clothes (even an iron & ironing board) hairdryer and small fridge.

Room Tip: rooms at the front had good views but above outside drinking area , so not the quietest .but shutting the windows cut down on the noise.

I was one of a party coming for a works night out. We had the function room for a meal and then drinks and dancing. The function room is separated from the rest of the hotel by a wide corridor so we couldn’t be heard from other parts of the hotel as far as I could tell. The food was very good, and they catered for special diets eg vegans. The fruit salad was exceptional - a perfectly ripe combination of strawberries, pineapple, melons and grape. It seems odd to rave about such a simple thing but I’ve never had such perfect fruit anywhere else. I gather the chocolate pots with mini donuts went down equally well.
My room was a single. It contained the usual - kettle, towels, nice soap, room to unpack and was clean. The white decor made it seem very fresh. The window overlooked the car park and the sea. I couldn’t get the shower temperature above tepid.
The car park is small and there is not a lot of room to manoeuvre but there is other parking nearby.
The people working there were lovely. Incredibly friendly, helpful and hardworking.
The decor downstairs was pleasingly modern, with a spacious feel. The corridors and stairways were fairly standard - functional, clean, lots of fire doors. The bed room was light and airy.

A great spot if you’re visiting Newquay. The terrace is particularly picturesque, looking out over Newquay Golf Club and Fistral Beach beyond.

The rooms were tidy, the breakfast was good and the staff were generally friendly and helpful. We even got a smile out of Night Manager Pat!

The Carnmarth is the shortest of walks to Fistral Beach and well worth a try.

Perfectly situated for Fistral Beach we were pleasantly surprised with the Carnmarth. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, especially the restaurant staff at breakfast. We stayed in a standard twin room. Made a change to have plenty of plug sockets and mirrors. The shower wasn't great, but adequate. Some areas looked a bit tired but nothing a lick of paint wouldn't put right. Beds were really comfy. Very good value for money.

This was the first time my daughter and I had visited Newquay and everything was excellent. The hotel is literally next to Fistral beach and walking into town was effortless, we didn't need to drive anywhere over the long weekend, it was an absolute treat! Parking at the hotel was completely ok, the single room was perfect for us two, it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The breakfasts were amazing, the food and drinks in the bar were also amazing. All the staff at the hotel are brilliant, friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble, We will be staying here again on our next trip down.
