My wife and I decided on a late summer 4 day break. We chose Cornwall because neither of us had seen a number of attractions, like the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock House, etc.

We chose this hotel because we wanted a place not in the centre of a town or village. we could not have chosen a better place. Just 2.5 miles from Looe and 2.5 miles from Polperro. A pefect location.

In terms of the Trelaske Hotel & Restaurant; not only an ideal place for us; but a perfect place in its own right.

In terms of service - 5/5
Location - 5/5 stars
The hotel accommodation - 5/5
Breakfast - 5/5
Dinner - 5/5
Comfort and friendliness - 5/5

As a special mention; we'd like to make a point of underscoring the really outstanding the evening dinners. We had 2 evenings eating in the hotel and wish we had eaten in every evening. The other restaurants we went to in Looe and Porperro were also 5 star. But the hotel's evening experience topped those two!

We would recommend this hotel and the meals every time and look forward to returning soon.

We paid our annual visit to the Trelaske. There is nowhere else like it. It has a lovely quiet setting, good views, superb food and the unique Hazel, who, with her team, make the stay a complete delight. Lots of places around to visit, or just walk locally. We will be back.

Just returned from a 2 night break to Trelaske, the hotel was as we remembered (last visit 4 years ago). A very warm welcome from Hazel, our room was very comfortable. Our meals were excellent, freshly caught fish from Looe which Ross cooks to perfection served with seasonal vegetables from the garden. Lovely hotel with plenty of walks on the doorstep would highly recommend for a relaxing break with excellent hospitality. Must not leave it so long before we revisit.

Just returned from 6 nights at the hotel with our 2 labradors (our 4th visit).

Once again the extremely high standards are maintained congratulations Hazel and Ross.

The food cooked by Ross is exceptional, consisting of fresh locally caught fish, home grown vegetables and locally farmed meat.

Hazel is a superb front of house hostess with a wealth of local knowledge, extremely well organised, helpful and attentive.

Their are 2 dog friendly garden rooms with patio doors to the garden and grounds.

Talking of dogs they were provided with treats from the kitchen after every meal we had.

Need I say anymore..book it...you will not be disappointed!

Booking from overseas is always a risk. Trelaske Hotel lived up to it’s high review scores. Hazel warmly welcomed us and could not have done more for us during our stay. Hazel has detailed knowledge of local walks, shops, buses etc. she even organised our laundry.
The meals are superb both breakfast and dinner. Fish is bought freshly each day and combined with local produce and home grown vegetables in a range of sumptuous meals prepared by chef and co-owner Ross.

We had a spacious and comfortable room in the hotel with veranda. Trelaske is 5 min bus ride to Looe or Polperro. We walked the 4 hr South Coast walk from Trelaske to Looe to Polperro and caught the bus home - a great day out.
We enjoyed the peace and quiet and highly recommend to similar travelers.
