“Excellent in every way”
Reviewed 8 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

The Threshing Barn is lovely and spacious, in a wonderful location. Every detail in the house has been chosen with care. Now I know what is meant by ' luxury barn accommodation' ! We greatly enjoyed the hot tub, too, with its views across a field of sheep and alpacas and on down to the coast. Looe is a lovely little place, as is Polperro, and it's a good place to be based, within striking distance if indoor activities should you need them. Would definitely recommend it.

Many thanks for the great review. This part of Cornwall is fabulous in good weather with excellent beaches and walking near-by. But there is also plenty to do when the weather is not so good.
Unfortunately, we only have the alpacas here for part of the year, but everyone loves them when they're around.

“Really lovely place to stay”
Reviewed 23 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We have just got home from Cornwall. We spent 10 day at The Threshing Barn, Widegates, Cornwall. The accommodation was absolutely lovely (apart from some cobwebs) everything you needed, Brenda & Ian are really good, friendly hosts, nothing too much for them, very helpful especially when my father in law needed to see a doctor. We would definitely go back sometime. They`ve got a hot tub this year which came in handy after a days walking around.

“Beautiful Property and 5 star barn conversion”
Reviewed 30 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

My partner and i took my late 70's parents for three nights to Cornwall. We had three wonderful nights staying in the Threshing barn. On arrival it was clear that the property had exceeded our expectations. The barn is clean and sparkling new inside and the fittings are high spec and all is new condition. Very large 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom and fitted out with anything you would need for a long term luxury stay. The welcome hamper is filled with delicious goodies, fresh baked cake and bread, eggs and much more. The owners were very welcoming. The location was perfect for us as it is within 3 miles from both Looe and Polperro, both beautiful Cornwall towns. Would highly recommenced this property.

“A perfect place to escape”
Reviewed 27 January 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Have just returned from an absolutely wonderful, relaxing weekend away with friends at the Threshing Barn - the perfect escape from it all. We really couldn't recommend this property highly enough. On our arrival received a lovely basket of local goodies, including a delicious home-baked cake! Our hosts were friendly and helpful, though discrete, and had thoughtfully provided an excellent resource of local activities - the various walking routes were especially appreciated. The barn itself was spacious, comfortable, well-equipped and impeccably clean; the surrounding farm a tranquil haven. The hot tub was a particular highlight of our stay, overlooking the rolling hills of Cornwall by day, and a beautiful star-studded sky by night. Will definitely be recommending this property to other friends and family, and hopefully paying a return visit ourselves in the not too distant future!

“Enjoyed discovering Cornwall from this great holiday base.”
Reviewed 26 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

This fantastic barn provided us with quality accommodation that exceeded our expectation. Everything was provided, a true home from home, the best self catering we have ever experienced! A peaceful place with a warm welcome from the owners.
