Very nice campsite, friendly accommodating staff and good facilities, based on my own experience I would have absolutely no hesitation to come again or recommend this site to friends and family.

Close to Looe and if you take a taxi as we did one evening a 6 seater it would cost IRO £8.

Recommended Yes !!

We paid £280.00 for a 4 night stay.

With the benefit of hindsight we wished we had read the TERRIBLE reviews on here before booking.

The issue we had was with the caravan.

On arrival we found that the beds weren't made up and the caravan was unclean with the rubbish of previous occupants left in cupboards and on shelves. Several lights weren't working and a curtain rail was hanging across the bedroom window.

The mattress was so firm that it may as well have not been there and was probably more suited to a prison cell. The bathroom door was damaged as if punched by someone. The heated bathroom towel rail was not working and the brackets were rusted. The towel holder was rusted leaving rust marks on the wall.

The lounge fire was rusted and there was damage to window frames and walls which had not been repaired.

The caravan smelt musty and smokey leaving our clothes smelling.

The shower was not working properly, turning itself on at random times.

Reception arranged the repair of the lights and curtain rail at our request, but had no solution to the mattress - so our solution was to sleep on three duvets. We wanted to make the best of our break away, hence tolerance to the remaining issues but will never return.

Spent 4 nights in a small cabin taking advantage of all the parks facilities. The playground and daily activities were great for our under 10 year olds. I would give 5 star, but the cabins are old and need some updating (beds!).

The site is set in a lovely location a couple of miles from Looe. We googled all the local places and found some lovely places to visit. It pays to plan. We started off visiting things further a field and if there was time in the day we could visit two or three places. The caravan was as expected as we booked last minute and had the cheapest van. Was a little disappointed to find we were right next to the play park being as we were a middle aged couple. Kids were there from as early as 8 am and one night older kids were there until 11.30 pm.
There was a lovely selection of food in the club but was a bit pricey, especially for a family. Also bar prices were a bit dear.
Make sure you have your loo roll handy as they don’t give you the usual complimentary one and after a long journey you don’t want to be routing round looking for one. You also need to taking washing up stuff and bin liners as there is literally bedding and nothing else supplied.
When budgeting your spending money , take into consideration you will need lots of money for car parks. NewQuay was £6 for four hours. You don’t know how long you are going to be so you often end up paying for a lot more hours than you use. Also you need 20p’s to go to the loo. Not always something you have on you.
The park also takes tourers and tents. I’ve never holidayed this way but we felt we wouldn’t have wanted to as everyone was really close to each other. When our family had a touring van years ago we were told to leave a certain amount of distance in case of a fire. These seemed awfully close.
