A three night weekend stay and value rated on discounted price. Having booked then later read some negative reviews I was pleasantly surprised how lovely this hotel in fact is. While it does cater for weddings, and there was one in place while we were there, it did not impact on us at all as those guests were scatered for in the purpose ballroom. The lounge bar area is lovely, small and cosy, and the silver service dining area having only six tables. An excellent full English cooked breakfast and other options available, but avoid scrambled eggs unless you like them overdone. We dined in the first evening and although my partner's dinner was about OK mine was not good so we ate out the other times. Rooms were modern and spacious, thoroughly cleaned every day. The grounds are lovely too. A magical stay overall and good location.

I was very impressed with our meal, it was well prepared, piping hot and the staff were very attentive to our needs and couldn't do more for you. The Manor itself is set in ideal location for Falmouth area.

stayed for just one night after a four and half hour drive. (Context is important, as I wouldn’t rule out longer in the lovely location as a different experience). Arrived fairly late to no reception, when somebody did come I just seemed like a hassle to them but was shown to room. Door locks are very old and beyond my wit even with the brief unhelpful descriptions. Water pressure in the shower was very high, in fact so high it came off the wall. Bed really good quality and comfortable, room good size, furniture in good nick. Where oh where are all the power sockets! Only 1 spare in the whole room!? (Defiantly a modern problem for an older hotel). Breakfast, again service pretty poor and unclear, wasn’t even provide a menu just 1 of each item

Good location for penryn campus.

Lovely garden and view of the sea.

Plenty of character to place.

Food good, hot and comes fresh.

When booking they were very helpful and sorted a room for us with a bath that took some juggling on their part.

You need to be patient with the hot water coming through but it does work to give a nice hot bath.

Down side for us was our bed (room 22) had a mattress that has a dip in the centre so you end up sleeping on a slight slope, hopefully this will be sorted soon.

At breakfast time you are locked out from the tables till bang on the start time of 8:30 so there was a queue of guests which is unusual.

Would stay here again and score of 3 was only because of the bed.
