“Fabuous house in wondeful location”
Reviewed 1 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

I stayed here for a week with my elderly parents, sister and brother-in-law. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to sit out on the patio admiring the views on a couple of days. My mother had difficulty walking so the bungalow was ideal. It was close to Falmouth centre, Sainsburys and the park and ride.
There was plenty of parking space at the front.
The facilities were excellent with dishwasher, washer, induction hob, PC with network access, games station and everything else you could want. Information packs were provided.
We ate at the Marina bar and restaurant one night which was practically next door and had a wonderful meal with great service.
The only minor downside was that the duvets were a high tog with no other option so these were too hot on a night. It would have been good to have a lower tog available.

“The Ideal Winter Short-Break; Cosey with wonderful views.”
Reviewed 18 December 2011 for a stay in December 2011

We took 'Waters Edge' for a short-break, before the busy Christmas holiday period.
Knowing the seasonal Cornish weather could be varied we wanted a place where we could enjoy the view, even if the conditions kept us inside.
'Waters Edge' did not dissappoint at all.
Booking was very straight forward and the proprietor, very helpful.
On arrival on a cold and wet Winter's afternoon, we found the bungalow was warm, spotless, very comfortable and above all cosey. Just the place to be when the wind was blowing hard and the rain lashing down.

And the view out the back over the Marina and creek was as good as the photos show.

In spite of the weather, we had two full day trips out;
... first to the Lizzard to watch the Force 8 gale crash against the rocks. Then a nice pub lunch to warm-up before returning home.
....second day was to the Eden Project which we last visited seven years ago. What tremendous development has taken place since and there is still so much to learn.

Summarising;
Waters Edge located in Falmouth is an excellent centre to explore the Lizzard / Lands End area of Cornwall and other features to the East and North are not far away.
The accommodation is well appointed, yet family friendly and whatever the weather will throw at you i'm sure your stay will be comfortable.
If the weather was good in the Summer then I imagine the enjoyment of the garden and walks into Falmouth would be a bonus.
I believe the bungalow was recently modernised.....to us for those few days...it was a 'home from home'.......and now my Wife wants a new kitchen.....just like the one at Waters Edge!
We had a wonderful, relaxing and very comfortable stay.

Management Response
24 Aug 2011
I’m pleased to hear that overall you had a pleasant stay at Waters Edge. It’s disappointing that you found the lounge furniture uncomfortable as we have had many comments from other guests saying how much they have enjoyed sitting in the lounge, particularly in the swivel chairs, looking out over the river.
