Hi Donna, Many thanks for the review and leaving the cottage so tidy. Hope you won on the horses!
A perfect home away from home while visiting Chester. With everything so close by and with in walking distance (or if you like to run ....great trails along the River Dee) this is the place to stay. If you are not familiar to Chester , it is a fabulous city to explore and probably wise to give yourself at least 3 days or make this cottage your base while visiting the outlying areas and Wales. There an abundance of restaurants but do make a stop at the pub on the corner appropriately named the Albion. Sarah will make sure all your needs are met however the home was perfectly appointed and did not miss a thing (coffee was superb!). Will return soon!
Dear Karen, Many thanks for your review. We're delighted you enjoyed your stay and hope to welcome you back for another visit.
Fantastic location, right by the walls and minutes from the restaurants and shops. Cottage extremely well equipped with everything you need to cook up a great meal - Very comfortable beds, lovely linen and fluffy towels - couldn't recommend this any more this one to return to.
Hi Tracey, Thanks for your review. We're delighted you enjoyed the quality linen, towels and comfortable beds. Hope you host you again soon.
We had a very enjoyable 2 night stay in Chester. It's somewhere we had wanted to visit for years and it was especially good to take in the model village of Port Sunlight which is about 20 minutes away by train.
Old Abion was just perfect for our requirements. It was warm, well equipped and excellently located inside the city walls for the main attractions of Chester. With bags it was about a 20 minute walk from the station.
Sarah was extremely helpful and answered all our questions promptly. We would certainly recommend Old Albion to anyone wanting to visit the old city of Chester.
Many thanks for your review. We're delighted you had an enjoyable stay in Chester and visited Port Sunlight as well as the other numerous local sights that make Chester such a special city to visit. We very much hope you return again in the future.
A beautiful cottage on a pretty and quiet street, just steps from the historic city walls and around the corner from the Roman ampitheatre ruins. Fantastic location for visiting Chester's historic sights, shopping, restaurants, and an easy walk from the train station.
The cottage is very well presented and furnished and has everything for a comfortable stay, including some lovely touches including luxurious towels, a coffee machine and a good selection of books and dvds. Highly recommended.
We were delighted to host you and many thanks for leaving the cottage so neat and tidy. We're delighted you enjoyed your weekend in Chester and thanks for taking the time to leave this review. Best Sarah and Anthony
Very pretty well equipped cottage very close to all the shops, restaurants and bars. The road it is situated on is very quiet but you are only a few minutes walk to the centre of Chester and the Roman ruins.
I didn't bring my car but chose to travel by train which worked really well as there is a bus service from outside the railway station which runs every few minutes and stops a short walk from the house.
It was fantastic to host you. Many thanks for leaving the cottage so clean and tidy. Hope you enjoyed the Prosecco as a thank you for coming on the train rather than bringing a car!
