Stayed for 2 nights while fishing at Llyn Brenig as seemed like closet place. Nice old pub and made very welcome by barstaff. Had a really nice meal and a bonus was a Country and Western group on at night.
Bed comfortable and great shower. Breakfast in morning was superb. All for £35-00 per night!

We had the lamb shank beautifully cooked and generous portions of mash peas and gravy. Homely food in this family run pub with lovely friendly staff. Nice to hear Welsh spoken behind the bar. Free WiFi. Great stop for dinner before a long drive home.

We stayed in Melin-y-wig which is 3 miles up the road from the Goat inn. We decided to go one night for a meal and are glad we did. The people were very welcoming and friendly and the food was piping hot and really good.
From the outside, it has to be said, The Goat Inn could do with a lick of paint, it looks a bit on the tatty side but don't let that put you off, they serve good hot and freshly made food and are very welcoming.
