“Fantastic stay”
Reviewed 8 March 2016 for a stay in February 2016

This was our second visit to White Sheep Cottage and as delightful as our first in November 2015. The cottage is really convenient for the Suffolk coast and we enjoyed lovely walks and a good pub lunch nearby.

Not only is White Sheep Cottage immaculately presented, cosy and comfortable, it's everything you would expect from a period Suffolk cottage.

The taste and style of the proprietor is very high and we would thoroughly recommend a stay here. In fact our next visit is already planned for this summer.

Good to have you back guys...there should be a Good Guest Guide for owners to post in! On the other hand, all the other owners might then use it to lure away my lovely guests....hmmmmmm!

“Cosy Christmas Retreat”

We stayed here (2 adults, 3 teenagers) over the Christmas period and had a fabulous time, very different to how we normally spend Christmas. The cottage is comfortable, warm and stocked with everything you could want. The layout of the cottage is excellent - the kitchen is huge, great for involving everyone in cooking and conducive to sitting and chatting over wine! The dining room made our Christmas dinner a special event and next to the dining room was a comfy sitting room, great for relaxing and playing games after dinner. The cottage is well thought and laid out. The two double bedrooms both had en-suite shower rooms, beds were very comfortable.

There was an array of books, from long novels to keep you occupied, children's books and guide books for the area, which came in handy when planning days out.

As we were there over the Christmas period all the shops in Peasenhall were closed, so I can't comment on the village. We went for a few walks around the local area and further afield to towns around. White Sheep Cottage is in a great location, a short drive to many of the lovely places Suffolk has to offer.

We had a very different Christmas to normal and it was perfect, thank you Sue for sharing your beautiful cottage with us.

“Fantastic find”
Reviewed 2 December 2015 for a stay in November 2015

What a fantastic find. This is a truly beautiful cottage. Wonderful rooms (I especially loved the sloping floor in the end bedroom and the fun yet practical way of levelling the bed). There is a twin room that is great for children in that it evokes a sense of fun (totally fine for adults). The kitchen is large, well equipped and perfect for an impromptu party that can lead onto the dining room and then easily move into a modern yet cosy sitting room. (mind your head on the way in :- ) Double doors lead into a lovely garden with patio area complete with a BBQ. This cottage is full of charm and delightful touches, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely book again rain or shine.

Thank you Simon B for your lovely review of White Sheep. Note your comments about the sitting room and would add my own that a couple of recent reviews stating the sitting room to be a "conservatory" are not quite correct......it is in fact a proper room, with solid walls and a solid roof, though very light and bright as it has French Windows to the adjoining dining room, windows to the North and West sides and French Windows to the South facing terrace.

“Charming cottage in an interesting location”
Reviewed 30 November 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Our first visit to Suffolk was very much enhanced by the cosy and charming delights of White Sheep Cottage in Peasenhall (the Valley of the Peas!) The house manages to show off its age in characteristic features such as enormous stone fireplace, bowing wooden walls and timber and plastered walls, whilst being cosy at the same time. The kitchen and conservatory are very sociable spaces as would the garden be, only we were mainly out during the day. It's well equipped with rainy day materials too and you would have to visit several times a way to make headway with the veritable library of books. There are numerous interesting Suffolk villages to visit nearby, stuffed with pubs, bakeries, teashops and shops as well as activities such as walking, bird-spotting and some lovely wild beaches. Hope it won't be our last visit!

“Beautifully presented”
Reviewed 13 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

This utterly charming country cottage oozes charm and character and works very well for small group stays.

It blends historic features (such as the oak hall panelling and ceiling beams) with practical and usable modern elements (ie, the stunning kitchen and conservatory) seamlessly.

I slept in the master bedroom which was cosy and warm. The en suite shower room is neatly executed and the shower easy to use, with an endless supply of hot water.

The kitchen offers a large and homely environment for group breakfasts and lunches and is well equipped. Over the hallway is an attractive and cosy dining room (I love the sloping ceiling!) leading into the modern conservatory extension.

I stayed with friends for the November fireworks weekend. The cottage is well sited for Suffolk coast walks. A visit to Walberswick and its village pub is highly recommended.

In summary, a beautifully presented and well appointed country cottage which is highly recommended, situated in an attractive part of Suffolk.
