This is a really lovely place to stay. Warm, comfortable with every amenity you could hope for. Donald is a good host and we were grateful for the supplies that were there to greet us.

The surroundings are tranquil, you can hear the river from the decking. There are endless outdoor pursuits and it's a good starting point to explore the county.

The cottage has a large bedroom with loads of storage and two comfortable sofa beds in the lounge. We slept three comfortably but you could do five at a squeeze.

There is a television with free Sky channels and WiFi. No phone and no mobile coverage.

The kitchen is well appointed with fridge, kettle, microwave, oven.

The bathroom has shower and bath. It's all clean and modern.

There's a big deck with table and 4 chairs off which there is a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

The driveway is steep and gravelled but manageable even in a large 4x4.

Not suitable for disabled people.

We had a wonderful time and would recommend it to everyone looking for peace and quiet in a lovely location.

“Excellent week-end in sunny Wales”
Reviewed 3 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

What an excellent location and such an excellent host in a picturesque surrounding and the locals are charming, good natured people whose first language is Welsh but do not mind conversing with you in English and sharing some of their thoughts. Where can you get a small chalet less than 100 yards from a traditional woollen mill still producing some of the finest woollen blankets in Wales? Woollen mills are unfortunately a dying tradition, so be quick, there are bargains not to be missed! If you like wool and weaving, the national wool museum is only 10 miles away and features some of Rock Mill's weaving patterns. Excellent cycling experience too as the owner has a shed to lock your expensive bikes for the night. There are some flat bits amongst the hills, the roads are good for a pleasant and easy bike ride, but remember that there are some pretty steep slopes too (12% to 14% occasionally).

“Warm welcome at Rock Mill”
Reviewed 13 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Just returned from an extremely relaxing week at Weaver's Loft apartment at Rock Mill. After a very warm welcome from Donald, we settled into the apartment that provides ample space and amenities for a comfortable stay. The setting is superb, placed in a wooded valley .... the peace and quiet were very welcome. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that there were a selection of supplies provided, which meant it was quick to get a hot drink and a snack immediately on arrival. Our true endorsement for this property is that we intend to book it again in the near future.

The accommodation provided everything one could want - clean, well equipped and very comfortable. A very well maintained property in a stunning location which gave us easy access to everywhere we wanted to visit locally. The owner Mr Morgan was very approachable and helpful and was ready to answer all our questions about the area.

“Lovely apartment in an idyllic location”
Reviewed 8 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Lovely old working mill in a delightful location. The valley is beautiful and the sound of the river and the song of the birds provides a constant and calming natural background for this peaceful hideaway. The accommodation was modern, clean and bright and just right for our needs. The mill itself is a fascinating visit. The owner, Donald, was friendly, welcoming and helpful. We all loved it here, and I would happily visit again (and again!).
