Many people have said this is one of the “lower end” all inclusives in Jamaica compared to other larger more expensive chains. However, I’m here to debunk that. I’m so happy I made the choice to stay here. Staff was amazing food was surprising pretty good not the typical “hotel food” drinks weren’t as watered down as many other places I’ve been. Nightly entertainment was on point every single night.

Close proximity to the ocho ríos town. Family friendly. Would absolutely recommend.

Beautiful hotel updated to include splash pools perfect for little ones. Staff so friendly and helpful rooms super clean. Mini bar and soda coffee and water refilled regularly. Excellent choice of restaurants and no booking or restrictions on how often you can use them. Entertainment every evening several bars to choose from. All round excellent

We stayed at the Riu Ocho Rios over the Easter Holidays. We had a really amazing time in Jamaica! The hotel staff were fun & friendly. Huge shout out to Zoe from the animation team who found my husband’s bank card on the beach & handed it in! Thank you! All the staff work so hard, animation team were fun & so friendly, all the restaurant & bar staff were too, and the ladies that cleaned the rooms did a fantastic job. Before we arrived we emailed the hotel to request rooms together & we were next door to my mum which was perfect as my daughter had a few sleepovers in Nanny’s room! We didn’t spend much time at the pool as we’re beach people and the beach was amazing we loved walking right along the beach to the locals at the end some beautiful hand made souvenirs. The food in the buffet was good mostly. But the Jerk chicken at lunch was amazing! So tasty. We also enjoyed the Italian but the other a la cartes were not anything special. The hotel is huge & extremely busy! We enjoyed our time at the Riu but it was way too big & busy for us I think next time we return to Jamaica we’ll be looking for somewhere a little more chill but that’s just us, still definitely recommend this hotel especially for families. Also recommend getting out and seeing Ocho Rios and Jamaica in general. Absolutely incredible place, I fell in love with Jamaica and can’t wait to go back
