We made this booking at the last minute and checked in very late but the Front Desk Manager was very helpful with advice about getting dinner. The garage of the hotel was so low that we could actually not get into it with our SUV!! I nearly scraped the top of our SUV. Room was clean and beds were comfortable.
We were in the area for my husbands surgery. Hard to find a hotel in Scarborough with decent reviews about cleanliness. TownePlace had good reviews so gave it a try. I can't say enough about this hotel. King Suite with full kitchen, lounge area. Clean, comfy, roomy. But the staff? The Bistro Cafe has the sweetest people working there! Kind courteous, asking about my husbands surgery and how he was doing. Good food. Front desk super friendly. We have stayed in many Lovely Toronto area hotels, but the staff here are exceptional. Highly recommend.
Decent stay. Room had amenities like : hot plate, fridge, dishwasher, dishes, pots, cutlery, plates, cups, desk, TV( good channel selection), sofa couch etc. Complementary breakfast was ok . ( 2 types of meat which where rotated, pork or Turkey patty sausages on opposite days). Scrabble eggs, boil eggs, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, bagels, waffle station, small muffins, coffee, tea, orange, banana etc.( 6.30 to 9.30 am weekday . 7 to 10 am weekend)
Room was clean. Parking was $5 day/ night. I made the error of paying for parking at the lot meter. One should park and then tell the front desk and they will charge you $5 and record your license plate # ( awesome front desk guy credit me back for the extra parking I paid at the meter!). Regular meter was $10 day/night. Indoor pool, small gym and laundry on site. Starbucks coffee shop inside the hotel near the lobby. Asian restaurant in front the hotel.
Close to highway 404. 10 to 15 minute drive to downtown toronto If there is no traffic. I would recommend this hotel and definately return .

I stayed at this hotel for 8 nights at the end of September to early October. No one change my bedsheet for 5 nights in a row. I know that because there were two holes on the bedsheet and had seen that since day 1. So finally, I phoned housekeeping asking them how often they change bedsheet. Housekeeping said every two days. I said that’s not true as my bedsheet hasn’t been changed. I asked to changed that day. Later on when I returned to the room and checked, sure enough, the two holes are still there. Again, I phone housekeeping and asked how often bedsheet get changed. I was told every day. I said I asked bedsheet to be change today because no one change it for the past 5 days. The person said he will send someone. Someone came over and started cleaning my room. He didn’t look like a housekeeping person but a maintenance person. He said the room looks clean to him and he didn’t know what else to do. I said I need my bedsheet change. He then changed my bedsheet and left. I phoned to talk to the manage on duty and she told me bedsheets are changed every four days. At this time, I got three different answers.
I’m thinking that if housekeeping is not changing bedsheets, is the room actually clean? Did they clean the bathroom or what they wipe the bathroom with? I’m concerned with the cleanliness of the hotel room. I’m not if I stay there again.

We stayed at this hotel over the weekend while in town for a hockey tournament. This property is an older property that has been renovated so the rooms are not quite the same as the newer TownPlace Suits. The original room I booked was smaller than I expected so I went down to the lobby and the person was so accommodating (I had 3 kids so needed the extra space) they gave me a larger room, showed it to me first and then helped me move to the new room. The breakfast is great, it's located on the 14th floor not in the lobby area like the other properties. The lounge area on 14 is great, staff are friendly and very kind. The gym is huge which is nicer that the other properties which usually have a smaller room making it challenging to do workouts/weights with other people in there at the same time. I would stay here again,I was very pleased with the service and would recommend staying here.
