I arrived late and had booked two other colleagues at this hotel, and all three reservations were NO SMOKING ROOMS. We arrived late, and all three of us got put on the SMOKING FLOOR. I didn't even know that hotels even had smoking rooms anymore. I travel extensively, and I can't even remember the last time a hotel allowed smoking. I thought it was just me. We had to leave early in the morning for meetings, and one of the colleagues brought it up how smokey it smelt. We arrived back at the hotel, and I asked the front desk. He said, oh yes, you are on the smoking floor... I asked to look at my reservation? What does my reservation say??? He said nonsmoking. I said then WHY would you guys put people on a smoking floor and an elite member at that on a level like that. He just said I'm sorry; do you want to move? I said no, I am on my way to dinner and leave early in the AM. He offered me some bonus points, but I never saw them.
Their "evening social hour" is a joke. I have never been to a social hour where they charge you for beer or wine. Usually, at Homewood, they have been, and wine for free and the food is much better than what was presented here. It was terrible and speaking of awful as others have mentioned, the breakfast is disgusting. You could get breakfast better at a gas station truck stop.
I would never recommend this place; there are too many other hotels in the area that are newer and for less money. I am embarrassed that I even brought my colleagues here.
