Stayed here for about 5 nights. The bed is totally shot, horribly uncomfortable. Requests for towels and toilet paper had to be made a couple times. Hallways have a gross smell, I can’t describe it. I saw several food delivery people in the hotel being let in without a mask. Saw a patron sitting in the lobby on a bench without a mask. Big rooms. Quiet. Clean. But not an enjoyable or very comfy stay overall.

The staffs working there are very friendly and helpful, my family was living in this hotel this week, when I asked one more bed sheet set for my kid , a guy named David sent two sets to the room even at the late night, really appreciate that.
Otherwise, the room size is very impressive compared to normal hotel at similar cost

We stayed here for a getaway weekend and it was all around a great stay. Checking in was simple and quick. The hotel has a pretty nice appearance and the lobby/breakfast area is quite modern. The Market in the lobby is small, but it offers most things you could think of.

We stayed in the 1-bedroom suite and it was quite nice. The room was very clean, and everything seemed to be in working order. The only problem we had found was that throughout the evening and in the middle of the night, a strong cigarette smell would fill the room. This isn't really the fault of the hotel, as we believe someone in a room near us was smoking (and probably just sticking it out the window, if even giving that courtesy). We just turned the bathroom fan on, and it seemed to clear the smell out over time. A little irritating, but we cannot fault the hotel for this, as this was guest conduct and not on the hotels shoulders. On the plus side, the hotel was silent at night.

The room came with everything you could want. Full size fridge, dishwasher, stove (albeit, we ordered out with Uber Eats or Skip each night so we could fully enjoy the weekend). TV's were great and offered HDMI inputs so we could connect our iPhone to stream content. Wi-Fi was pretty quick and worked flawlessly.

Breakfast was actually good quality and offered a very good selection to get you going for the day and the staff at breakfast were incredibly polite and offered a smile.

Front desk was awesome. One of us had forgotten toothpaste, and we were able to quickly grab a tube from the front desk (with a smile). We had also used the app to chat the front desk to request some towels and they sent it up extremely quick. The ability to chat through the app is awesome and definitely a must-have.

All around a very good stay and we will return in the future.

My sincere apologies that you detected an odor of smoke in your room during your stay. We are a smoke-free hotel and do our very best to obtain guest compliance but, as you mentioned, guests are ultimately responsible for their actions. (There is a significant room recovery fee for guests who do not comply to cover the extensive cost of restoring guest rooms to a smoke-free condition.) Stayed at Residence Inn for a ringette tournament. I was very impressed at the size of the Queen Studio rooms. The layout was perfect and the kitchen was well kitted out. We bring potluck meals and the full-size fridge, microwave and plates/cutlery made it a breeze. The large living space was spacious enough for the 15 or so parents to gather in each evening. The kids loved the pool. The breakfast was the usual free fare - not great but ok. I certainlly wish we stayed in such a great hotel for all our tournaments!

Room tip: We stayed in room 112, which was down a very quiet corridor away from the pool, the lifts and the stairs.

We have stayed here a few times. Previously it was good. This two night stay was disappointing. Check in was unfriendly and didn’t do the standard honour of our bonvoy status. The room cleaners were aggressive. We had to actually get angry with her and tell her to go away at 8:45am as one of us wasn’t finished dressing. The breakfast staff hide the china dishes and stainless steel utensils the busiest times and put out plastic. They were even packing up before the breakfast time was finished. There seems to be no commitment to the environment here other than the usual “re use your towels message” which is more about saving the hotel money than any commitment to the environment.

The rooms are large, clean and well laid out.

There are lots of Marriott properties in the vicinity and we have stayed at most of them. The Toronto Marriott Markham is the best and will likely be our “go to” place after our poor experience here.

Marriott piloted the world's first LEED Volume Program, a pre-certified green hotel prototype for the hospitality industry. Our hotel works hard in water conservation and also has partnered with Clean the World, a global organization that recycles and reuses complimentary toiletry items like shampoo, conditioner, and soap that guests leave behind. Weekend with hockey team. Only downside is team rooms were all over the hotel...Room was clean and odor free. Bedding was restful and crisp. Breakfast was the usual type but eggs were watery and had to wait for protein both days. Turkey patties, cut up sausage were way overcooked and links were very salty.
Overall fair experience.
