Booked this because of the pool and restaurant/bar. The very small "salt water" pool smelled like chlorine. The restaurant is currently non-existent and the area serves as a continental breakfast area. This is not advertised ANYWHERE. I understand this may have been because of covid but let people know! This hotel is not "surrounded" by anything but a field and a busy road. They make it sound like you are within walking distance of shopping and nightlife. The only way for us to get food without having to drive was Skip the dishes. The whole place smelled old and our room smelled like a very strong, lemon air freshener which made it hard to breathe, although it did appear clean. The only reason I gave this any stars at all is because of its proximity to our ultimate destination of Unionville and the beds were comfortable. I absolutely would not recommend

Thank you for your review. We are extremely disappointed to hear that you did not enjoy your stay at our hotel. Though our hotel is situated within a business area, it is within minutes of Downtown Markham which is a short 2km away from our hotel. Our saltwater pool does have small amounts of chlorine in it, as do all saltwater pools. In terms of our restaurant is closed, we do sincerely apologize for this. Our website did have the correct information on it but we do not advertise that it was closed. We are happy to announce that as of May 28, 2022, our restaurant has reopened for dinner. We understand that you did not enjoy your stay but we would love to welcome you back to regain your trust and satisfaction in our brand.

I've stay at this hotel 3 times now. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are very clean and the bed is very comfortable. It's quiet. The only negative is that the parking is sometimes an issue. There doesn't seem to be enough parking when it's a full house. The rooms have really nice extras, microwave, individual coffee maker, mini fridge.

I booked this hotel and I am sorry that I chose it. I am diabetic and came so that I could eat in the cafe and have breakfast with other people but they do not have any restaurants operating, even though the province is wide open now.

The restaurant was closed and I can't get any food and the bag breakfast that they gave us was all food that a diabetic cannot eat. Orange juice, Danish, fruit, sugary yogurt, sugary granola bar, no protein at all in the bag and when I asked about the diabetic breakfast they said they don't have one. With the restaurant closed how am I supposed to eat any food? Diabetics have to eat and you expect when you come to a hotel that you can get food.

They could have had hard boiled eggs inside the bag with one low sugar fruit, cheese, whole grain, milk and then perhaps I could have eaten but really their restaurant should be open. No restaurants nearby this location.

I am upset about the fact that they didn't provide something they said they would provide, which is at breakfast.

The hotel due for a renovation but with covid, it's understandable that this couldn't be done,

The staff was fine but disorganized when we arrived with no luggage trolley carts when we arrived. 4 people at the front desk in the evening, so that was a miss but they were pleasant and accomodating otherwise.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you for your comments. I am pleased to share that our breakfast buffet is now operating again and we do offer hard-boiled eggs as one of the options. Our breakfast buffet is a continental breakfast and we do offer a variety of items such as cereals, oatmeals, toasts and bagels, and pastries as well. We do apologize that during your stay we were still offering our Togo breakfast and hope you will get the opportunity to come and try our buffet breakfast.

It was our first stay at a hotel since Covid hit us and we were a bit apprehensive about hygiene rules. Nothing to worry about here! Hygiene rules were applied et reinforced. Room was very clean and no maid came in the room during our 2-night stay, which is good. Both checking-in and out were a breeze. Breakfast is of course serve in a paper bag because of Covid but the essential were provided (muffin or chocolatine, yogurt or granola bars, OJ and a fruit). Coffee or tea were available at the reception.
We are booking again for another stay in Toronto in 3 weeks!

Friendly staff throughout the entire 6 levels of this 5 Star Hotel Chain. All guests were very polite and friendly being extra considerate. First time having the glass shower enclosure beside the Jacuzzi tub. Two extra large T.V.s one facing the love seat and one facing the super large King Bed. Honeymoon in French Riviera Monte Carlo was similar to our Riviera King Suite. The 3rd floor room 334 overlooks the Pool skylight which is on the West side of the Hotel

Excellent service. Everything top of the line. Front desk and housekeeping staff very professional and helpful. Would love to stay again.checkin was very fast. Hotel building looks new and very clean. Everyone follows COVID guidelines.
