Worst place to stay. I will NEVER stay at such a place. Rude staff overall that should not be allowed to work in hotels

HILTON SUITES- TORONTO-MARKHAM CONFERENCE CENTRE
I paid top dollar for 2 rooms for me and my family for 5 nights stay (8/1-8/6). The staff were not very helpful nor friendly. Our reception was rather lukewarm. We were placed in the extended stay wing of the hotel, unbeknownst to us, mindfully I booked regular rooms, so we weren’t given other options. Fast forward to Early Saturday morning around 3:30 am we were subjugated to the worst encounter of our lives. The security guard named Triston approached myself and my friend at the bar lobby area in a menacing, rather very aggressive, and rude demeanor demanding that we leave the area right away because the cleaners need to clean up. All of this occurred while we were almost done eating our after club meal peacefully. I stated to him that his rude behavior to us as guests was unacceptable and I asked to speak to the manager on duty. He demanded yet again that we need to leave or else he will call the cops on us! I stated that he should be fired for threatening us. I spoke with the designated manager only to have the matter unresolved. A few hours later we are getting kicked out of our hotel rooms and were threatened to leave or else they will again call the cops on us. Moreover, he completely fabricated a story of him being threatened by my words that he should be fired. Quite laughable! I gladly obliged and booked rooms at the Shangri-la hotel downtown Toronto for the rest of our stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Booked in for two nights. First room wreaked like Weed and Cigarettes. Walked into the room and the hotel had a purifier going so obviously knew the room was not up to standards. My child has Asthma, we were moved to a different room. Pulled out the pull out couch to find a Men's T-Shirt, Condom Wrapper and deodorant garbage.

This hotel has very low standards in terms of house keeping and general cleanliness!

The hotel is fine but not worth the price per night. When checking in, the agent told me she couldn’t tell me how much the security deposit was as it would be on my receipt when I checked out but that didn’t help me. It needs some upgrading and is lower quality than other Hiltons I’ve stayed in. The outlets are unsecured and wiggly so nothing could be plugged in as it couldn’t transmit power. Our room had two double beds and it was hard to get into the one bed as the side is against a window alcove with no path of travel.

The room was quiet when we were trying to sleep even though the hotel itself seemed busy. Water is not provided and neither is breakfast. $300/night is too much for just a place to crash. Lotion provided is very nice.

Book 1 week through booking.com for wedding of Joan and Timothy. It was a distance from downtown Toronto if you want to visit the city. You can Uber daily or take the bus then subway. The reception was helpful throughout our stay. The hotel connoisseurs especially Messeille, a fellow countrymen of the late Kelvin Kiptum, very helpful including giving a route for jogging. Breakfast was good but H prefers the Cora menu which is across the way. Overall hotel is well maintained and good vibes.

Room tip: Enjoy the surrounding areas including highway 7

Overall a comfortable (although overpriced for what you get) hotel. Fabulous lobby with towering ceilings and great glass elevators. It seems hotel staff have worked on their efforts to be friendlier than in the past. The rooms are large but quite old, lights dim, windows do not open for fresh air. Housekeeping does a great job.

We only stayed one night. But we are excited to go back. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location. Beds were comfortable. We are a family of 5, but our oldest stayed behind, because he had to work. All of us would have fit in this suite just fine. A few reasons we didn't give it 5 stars, the curtain rod was broken and sitting on the floor when we arrived, the bathroom was clean, but there was a used towel behind the door when we arrived, the knobs on the bathroom sink were very loose and the water pressure in the shower was strange. Super powerful one second and nothing at all the next. We did let the front desk know upon checkout. None of that are reasons we wouldn't stay again.
