AVOID IF POSSIBLE

The rooms are too small and the furniture is overdue to be replaced. The bathroom was remodeled and good except for the toilet seat. It was undersized and flimsy. (Must have picked it up at one on the cheap China import stores.) There was a musty odor to the room. The complimentary breakfast was good and the high point of our stay.

The hotel was comfortable, clean and close to everything. The staff were friendly and the manager was on duty when we checked in. He was very kind and accommodating, which meant a lot to me as I was traveling with elderly disabled parents and a young child. He allowed us to check in early (which was great because my parents were tired and baby fussy) and put us on the first floor which was great as my parents can't do stairs (no elevator on premises). The pool was nice and clean and the hotel was fairly quiet. The hot breakfast was enjoyable and they brought fresh towels to my door only a few mins after I xalled front desk for them. I hope to return again and stay at this hotel. It's no wonder it is sold out most days in the summer.

Room tip: If you are unsure of dining options in the area, ask front desk, they have printouts of walkable distance restaurants.

Absolutely terrible experience! Hotel filthy and stench of weed on both floors. Half of the hotel has literally been torn down and views from rooms are of a demolition site. No housekeeping and only 2 towels for a booked family of 4. Manager reports that no more are available. Pool is like swimming in a bath of bleach. Hot tub broken and empty. No towels at pool either. Management useless and unwilling to provide any assistance. Stay away!

Management response:Responded 11 April 2022

Dear Coach J,

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. During Covid-19, we have made adjustments to ensure we have enough staff to provide clean rooms and service around the hotel (as there has been a shortage in the labour market). We thank you for bringing the issue with the pool and the towels to our attention, as we will have our maintenance team rectify this issue so future guests can enjoy our pool. Due to supply chain shortage we have had a very difficult time securing new linen.

We appreciate your input & apologize for your disappointment.

Lacking in many areas.
1. Requested crib on reservation, and in comments. Asked when we checked in. Asked again when we returned to the hotel at 10pm and was told they might not have one. Thankfully for them, they found a pack and play (but it was filthy. I scrubbed it before I put the baby in it).
2. No elevator and lots of baby stuff don’t go well together. Thankfully, they found us something on the first floor.
3. Wifi was TERRIBLE. Only worked on one side of the bed and nowhere else in the room.
5. No sheers on the windows…only blackout curtains. Made the room very dark, but
6. First floor rooms back onto a sidewalk that runs right alongside the hotel, so not really private feeling
7. Rooms were very dated.
8. Hair dryer broke mid use. Thankfully, we were able to get a replacement.
9. Other entrances were “out of service”…long walk with baby stuff.
10. Breakfast was lame.
11. No night table on one side of the bed in a king room.
But:
A) Bed was suuuuuuper comfy.
B) Water pressure is excellent.
C) Easy to find location with sufficient parking onsite.
D) Room felt clean.
E) Had a fridge and microwave.

Room tip: Parents of babies, bring your own pack and plays. Don’t expect to be satisfied from breakfast.

Due my employment as a First Responder, my multiple travel requirements in numerous hotel accommodations throughout Canada, the USA and Europe, I have never experienced such disgust, prolonged waiting time for merely an extra blanket (waiting over 1.5 hours for
