A friend took us to this Restaurant in Auckland and we were pleasantly surprised! The setting is cosy .
The service was very good. The dishes served were simply delicious and reminded us of real good Chinese food. Remember to ask for a small dish of the chili paste in Sambal- be careful, it's a bit spicy! The chopped Chili padi ( small hot chilli) in soy sauce went exceptionally well with the Hainanese chicken!
Recommended to go again!!

Hard to take some of the other reviews seriously - we love this place...We had a big group there a couple of Saturday nights ago and everyone raved about it. The service and food was magnificent - all meals arrived roughly simultaneously and Cinta has at least half a dozen new fans.

We saw the restaurant was full of people so we popped in, when we saw the menu: gado gado salad, Tom yum soup.. our hearts dropped,, we thought it is Malaysian food. We tried seafood laksa and hainan chicken rice, two standard dishes from Malaysian cusine, and they approved us right: they are not authentic. But I suppose they have adopted the food to locals' tastes. The true flavour from some other Malaysian restaurants, may turns out to be too "authentic" or strong to the local's taste. Anyway won't be back again. But it was quite a cosy and pleasant place. Service was attentive and welcoming.

I used to really enjoy this restaurant but unfortunately their service and food has gone downhill. Our entrees came almost 15 minutes apart and then our mains were at least half an hour after the last entree arrived- the service used to be so efficient- I'm not sure what has happened (they did not seem to have many customers at the time). The food quality has also seriously declined- the duck was poorly cooked, the beans were far too salty and the ingredients just generally did not taste fresh and good. Further, they did not have core ingredients, such as eggplant. The meals are overpriced for what you get. Disappointing experience. Would not recommend Cinta and will not be returning.
