The Tour took me to the sites of the North Shore I didn't know existed.
The North Heads Historic Military defence sites with a large Gun, with Bunkers and Tunnels was just one of the highlights. Having ridden a Segway's on overseas tours I found it very easy to ride.
My guide was very knowledgeable about the Devonport area and she spoke with passion about the history of the people and the places on the two and a half hour ride.

Had such fun on our Segway tour with Ariane (sorry not sure if that's correct name or spelling but she was great!) Our tour guide made sure we knew what we were doing on our Segways and then we set off for a fun and informative tour round Devenport which is so pretty and we had spectacular views from North Head and other spots around the area. We rode the ferry to Davenport with no particular plan for what to do while we were there. When we arrived and saw the Segway sign, we suddenly knew just what we would do. We headed up to the North Head for fantastic views of the village of Davenport and the Auckland city skyline before exploring the tunnels and battlements. Then we were off to the beach for a brief visit. We capped the tour off by heading back through the village to the ferry building. The village of Davenport is charming and chalk full of lovely examples of Victorian architecture. Our guide had extensive knowledge of the village as well as some fun anecdotes.
