We rode the ferry to Davenport with no particular plan for what to do while we were there. When we arrived and saw the Segway sign, we suddenly knew just what we would do. We headed up to the North Head for fantastic views of the village of Davenport and the Auckland city skyline before exploring the tunnels and battlements. Then we were off to the beach for a brief visit. We capped the tour off by heading back through the village to the ferry building. The village of Davenport is charming and chalk full of lovely examples of Victorian architecture. Our guide had extensive knowledge of the village as well as some fun anecdotes. We had a great time with Magic Broomstick Tours.

Growing up in the village her special love is of North Head, I'm sure as a teenager those tunnels were explored more in-depth than I know about, and I never knew the ranger dogs even existed. We LOVE segways and the moment we stepped off the ferry from Auckland and spotted the segways, we knew we had to do it. Our plan was to visit Mt Victoria and this was a great way to do it. Adam was our guide and I was so happy that we fit into their schedule since we didn’t have a reservation. We were the only ones on the tour and it was great. It was a warm day and you could see it on the faces of the people walking up the hill. Adam did a great job and also gave us a great reference for lunch. Would highly recommend!!!!!
Thanks Spinner915. We LOVE that you LOVE Segways. They sure are a great way to easily check out a new destination especially if it involves hills like Mt. Victoria. Gliding past those who are really making hard work of the climb - They needed a Segway ride !!

We wanted to see some of the sites in Devonport, tour the old gun emplacements, and maybe try a Segway. We got all three plus incredible views and bit of history. Our guide was fantastic! Our group was small and he adjusted our tour a bit to let us see more since we were efficient with our time. The equipment was in great shape and easier to learn than I expected. One of the best tours of our trip! I highly recommend.

Very easy to schedule. I arrived with my son at the desk, called the number and in 30mns we had the tour guide there and a family of four from Australia. We did some ten minutes of training and we were all set to go, despite never have used a Segway before. Very easy to move around. We had a 1,5 hr tour around Dovenport, going to the summit of North Head with great 360degrees views. The skyline view of Auckland is beautiful. I highly recommend!

We had a great time on the Segway Tour of Devonport even though we were beginners! Our instructor was very patient and it was a fantastic way to see the sights around the town.
