Visited The Rattlebone Inn today for Sunday lunch. Booked online and received email confirmation. We had a great table which was tucked away, lovely for us to sit and enjoy our food. We all ordered Sunday lunch: a veggie Sunday roast, 3 meat Sunday roast and roast chicken. All were delicious and great portion sizes. We particularly liked the veg bowl with some different options to your standard Sunday lunch veg options.
The service was great and the food arrived in a good amount of time.
We will be back again!
Booked the skittle alley for a catch up with friends and family. Also ate in the bar. Dog friendly, great beer and very good food. Helpful, accommodating staff dealing with a large group.
Lunch here this week and as good as ever.
Sat in the beer garden making the most of the summer sun.
We had broccoli and stilton soup for starter which was very tasty.
My main course was from the specials board which was a pork and new potato salad which again was delicious.
They have a set menu of 2 courses for £12 and the whole lunch menu was very good value for money.
Highly recommended village pub if your in the area.
I was visiting a friend in malemsbury and he took me for a meal and a few pints to the village of sherston, assuring me that the pub was full of character and entertainment... He was right, I met a few unique locals and saw people bringing in various pets but all in all a great night, the food was good and the service was laid back but attentive. Very impressed.
Best Sunday lunch around, the meat is locally sourced and very tasty with good vegetables! Good service, wine list good, homemade desserts!
The pub is set in a quiet village, with plenty of parking, good atmosphere in the pub.
My lifelong friend lives in Sherston so he took me to the Rattlebone for a few drinks....some food & to watch the rugby. What a great pub.....I so wish it was my local! Good atmosphere, good selection of beers, ciders, wines & spirits.....& the food was way above average pub grub. It didn't surprise me that the pub got very busy indeed.....but it just added to the great atmosphere.
