Roar coffee ... a special hit to get us down the road. Cheese rolls and muffins are delicious for the trail

Very nice place in which two nice women give you topical
American coffee and a little of simpathy. Very good.

Stopped here early morning on our way to Invercargill. Had coffee and bacon and egg muffin. Delicious and loved the staff and their humour. It was so good we called again at 3:30pm on the same day on our way back

Its surprising where you find great coffee and food. A little town with a pub and a couple of shops but the best coffee and great service. You cant beat friendly service and people.

What an amazing looking coffee van. It’s a credit to the owner. But don’t commit the deadly tourist sin of videoing the van out of admiration. My sin was to video from one to side around the entrance door to the counter side…pausing momentarily at the door.

My rookie mistake was the ‘pausing’ part. That resulted in a stern ‘you can’t film in here’ (6 feet from the door). I’m not sure what classified coffee business was happening inside. From that moment on, our presence received a lukewarm reception.

Of the the two staff on duty, the dark-haired lady was very friendly, but Ms Cranky Pants wasn’t impressed.

As far as the coffee goes…awesome. One half of the staff…awesome. Cranky Pants…well, life isn’t that bad.
