“Great Cabin in Convenient Location”
Reviewed 24 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

When we first drove through the neighborhood to find the cabin, we noticed how tightly together the houses and cabins were. Once we got to the end of the court, we were relieved to notice that this particular cabin is actually located on nicely apportioned lot that adjoins the forest. In fact, one evening from the living room window, we saw a bear travel through along the line where the forest meets the meadow. Inside, the cabin looked very clean and was well stocked with all the comforts of home. The kitchen has pretty granite countertops and all upgraded appliances. There was almost every utensil imaginable as well as small appliances like a drip coffee maker, toaster and blender, to name a few. There was dishwashing detergent and other cleaning agents available in addition to laundry detergent in the downstairs laundry room. Also downstairs is one of the three bedrooms which included two single beds and a bathroom with walk in shower. Upstairs there was another bathroom with tub/shower combo and two bedrooms each with queen sized beds; one room has a lovely ceiling fan; and the other has a nice balcony with sliding door access. No air conditioning but even in June/July, the cabin stayed very cool when we closed the window covering during the day and then opened up the windows at night while using the box fan provided by owners. If I had to provide a negative, it might be that I found the beds to be overly firm. That being said, I would stay again in the future. I have to say that the owners truly made this cabin a very comfortable and hospitable home away from home. I would also like to mention that we brought our bicycles with us and thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic bike trails all over the area. If you can, bring your bike!

The cabin was beautiful. It snowed on us and added extra charm to an already charming getaway! If you are ever in the mood for a cabin escape, this slice of heaven will be perfect. It sleeps 7 comfortably, has a great kitchen, quaint living room and excellent hot tub! Heating was not a problem it was always nice and cozy. I definitely recommend this place!!

“Wonderful Oasis In the Woods...”

I just spent a week staying at this property. It is beautifully and thoughtfully renovated. They attended to every detail. We cooked meals in the well appointed kitchen, hot tubbed under the stars, hiked through the woods alongside the delta, surfed the internet and even did our laundry. We even saw a bear! All our needs were met and more. It is a comfortable and well stocked home. I highly recommend this property. My hat's off to the owners for doing such a great job for thinking of every detail.

“Amazing place to stay in South Lake Tahoe”

What an amazing place to stay in South Lake Tahoe! It totally met our expectations! The owners have thought of everything. The place was perfect! We were three photographers in Tahoe for a workshop and the woods provided additional photo ops. Even one of us spotted the bear and another spotted an early morning wolf. Access to the Upper Truckee Marsh was a nice benefit as well - a couple of us had a nice hike.so many squirrels, chipmunks, and blue jays! Hawks, duck, and geese in the marsh.

The hot tub was amazing after a long hike and shooting all night - very relaxing.

Recommend eating at Orchid Thai Restaurant ( we ate there several times and had take-out as well) . Definitely recommend Bert's Cafe for breakfast - wished we would have discovered this earlier. Biscuits and gravy are amazing! Azul Latin Restaurant should not be missed! We ate there twice. Calamari is the best any of us had ever tasted. The half chicken was so amazing! There are plenty of Starbucks close by. Buy some coffee for the coffee pot. Read the guest book for recommendations.

Do take bar soap for the shower. We did have to buy dish soap to wash the pans but that was minor.

We definitely would stay here again!
