This is a great little motel. Perfectly serviceable unit which accommodated our family of 6 at a reasonable price.
The pool was the highlight for the kids, it’s a lovely pool area.
The views are stunning.
Across the road is a cafe/pub and 4 square which close at about 7pm so go early (the 4 square opens about 7.30am so we walked over daily to buy breakfast food). There was a little bit of noise at night from the pub and from the road in the morning. There’s a good BBQ by the pool (works great and very clean).
Everything is very clean and the owners are friendly and helpful.

Recently returned from a 5 night stay here. Good value for money. Friendly staff and owners. If you go also check their recommendation for fishing charters. It was a fantastic break for us. The rooms contain everything you need.

Sorry, but the only good things about this place are the views and the gardens. Overpriced.. they are the only place in town think, so not a lot of choice! We stayed in other places in Northland for that price and less that were infinitely better. Bed was the worst we have ever slept in .. bed springs poking into us, serious roll together and small. weird layout in that the kitchen was big and the bathroom really small.
Walls really thin.. could hear a guy snoring from the next unit all night long.

My boyfriend and I were driving back from the cape and decided to stop here for the night. The hostel is so nice. We had a huge comfy room with a double bed and pretty much the whole place to ourselves. There's a big kitchen, big lounge space, books, puzzles, lots of tourist info. It's also right on the coast with the most unreal view to wake up to as well as BBQ's and a pool.

We had one night stay and the room was comfortable and very clean and well kept.
It was looking a little tired but had all you needed.
Nice little pool to relax in but some traffic noise at night.
Bed was reasonably comfy .
Overall fair value for money.
Place is up for sale!
