Long an icon hotel in Feilding the Denbigh has been given resuscitation and has commenced a new life. Our local friend suggested "let's visit after our market day purchases" and so pleased he did. On entering we were welcomed with the warmest smile from the opposite end of the long restaurant and immediately had drink orders taken whilst waiting for our friend. It is $10 lunch day (as it is every day) but there is a fuller menu on the flip side. $10 is fine with a good selection from the tried and trues: salads, hamburgers, fish and ships, succulent steak sandwich, all served with accompanying sauces on a generous plate.
The restaurant is at the far end of the bar and family orientated with a children's play area a little to the right in semi divided space. There is plenty of room to move around and generous space for the family group who arrived with pushchairs without causing any need for others to move. Our conversation easily rolled along, as did the arrival of our meals. Tip top. We liked it very much for what it is and look forward to returning for the $15.00 Sunday roast special, maybe with a bottle of wine this time.
