We had great five hours on the boat with the funny and nice team of Dolphin Seafaris! At first we weren't sure if we will see some dolphins in april. But then... it was gorgeous to see the super pod of about 500 dolphins!! Thank you so much for this unbelievable experience.

My 3 children, Nanna & I were so very excited to come aboard this Dolphin Safaris today (from Melb) We had heard about it from our friends. Cameron kept us well informed about the weather conditions, provided wet suits, snorkel and a huge amount of fun.
Cameron and his team thought the trip would be 6 hours or so ...but ended up being 9 hours ! We spent 5 hours on his fun ship looking, looking looking then Cameron spotted the biggest pod (about 50) of dolphins !!! Just spectacular. We then hung onto the boat (snorkel & wet suit) and swam with the dolphins !!AWESOME experience. It'd be great to bring your own food - incase the trip takes longer. They provided tea coffee orange juice water ginger biscuits.
Thanks Cameron

Spent a beautiful hot day out on the water with Dolphin Seafaris. Had a fantastic small group of only 9 of us (normally many more people).Saw a pod of 8/9 initially and then the biggest pod I ever seen In my life - 150 or so dolphins.
The skipper and daughter were lovely and made the experience very personal.
Some people were not experienced with using and clearing a snorkel and mask. Make sure you know before you get in the water!

Early start but what a phenomenal morning!
The crew on the boat were very passionate about what they do and shared loads of insight to bring our trip to life for us. Lots of humour meant the guests on board were laughing loads right from the outset.
The crew stayed focussed on where to head for and pointed out things of interest, from wildlife to things of interest in the bay, as we headed out.
We were expecting that we might see the odd couple if we were lucky but we saw literally 150-200!!! They were everywhere. All around the boat, swimming with us and looking like they enjoyed the ride as much as we all did.
We got dressed into wet suits and those who wanted to got into the ocean and with snorkels and safety bars, we found ourselves swimming with them. I hadn't used a snorkel before, so ask how to use one if you're not sure! I learned the hard way :)

Clean comfortable boat, with welcoming hot drinks and muffins.

They do try to look after your safety in every way - they tell you to put lots of sun cream on. We did and would recommend it. We didn't have hats though and our heads burned quite badly which we didn't realise until the next day. It's hot and even the hardiest of sun worshippers will burn.

A really lovely start to our holiday in NZ and one of our highlights - thanks to the team.

Saw lots of dolphins, took quite a few hours to find them, only got back after 3.30pm, but great they found lots of dolphins for us! Crew were very nice, and helpful, especially when I was feeling unwell.
