Just completed a six-night stay here in Jan. 2016. Here's my review:
Listed as a 2-person accommodation, the owner (Marissa) allowed my 7-year-old daughter to stay with us (me and my wife). She purchased a small futon for our use in case the bed got too small. It was actually fine for the 3 of us.
I corresponded with Marissa entirely through e-mail. She responded quickly each time. Very, very responsive and quality of care is top notch.
The Location: The unit is located on the 34th floor of the South of Market Private Residences. It is 2 blocks away from the SM Aura Premier and about 3 blocks away from Market! Market! These are both major shopping malls with a good selection of shops, restaurants, and groceries.
Within the immediate area outside the building, there are two small stores (one is a 7-11) where you can buy food/snacks, drinks, toiletries, etc. There are also several banks w/ATM's, beauty/massage spas, and a couple of small restaurants and specialty shops (a laundry, a martial arts store, and a pet supply store).
The only CON I had was that you'd have to walk around the front of the building to get to the 7-11 and the crosswalk that leads to the malls. There is a door on the ground floor adjacent to the elevators that gives you fast access to the above, BUT its use is reserved for the elderly, disabled, and for small children. Use of this door saves you a 200-meter walk around the building. Fortunately, I was able to wave at the guards to let me out. Coming back in wasn't as easy. To use this door, you'd have to press a button, state your unit number, while looking into a security camera. Sometimes the door was unlocked, sometimes it wasn't.
The Unit: No complaints at all. Again, this is a studio unit, so don't expect a lot of room. If you're traveling alone, or as in our case, as a family of three, it was perfect.
The unit is clean. It has a separate kitchen with a microwave, stove, and oven. It has a washing machine, though we did not use it. The Wi-fi and satellite TV were great. Plenty closet and drawer space plus a little dining table and desk.
Saw ZERO cockroaches, so that's always a plus.
There's a lot of noise during the day due to ongoing construction. We had no issues at night with construction or traffic noise.
The POOL was super COLD! I saw "heated pool" in the listing. Don't know if they shut the heater off, but dang...the pool was freezing at 3 p.m. The pool water also needed to be cleaned or changed out. There were quite a few leaves and other debris in it.
The Gym: Very limited. One working, very noisy treadmill; One ellipse; and a seated stationary bike, are all they have for cardio. There's a pretty good selection of free weights/dumbbells and a multi-exercise station with weights on a pulley system. Decent and got some good workouts in.
Transportation: Taxis were everywhere. There are jeepneys passing this way, as well, if that's your thing. Transportation was no problem. Recommend using Grab Taxi if you're not in the mood to hail one the usual way. The guards are good about flagging one down for you, too.
St. Luke's: For anyone looking at this property for the purpose of visiting St. Luke's: You could walk it, as St. Luke's is about 10 blocks away, but I'd recommend paying for a taxi at about 65-80 Philippine Pesos instead.
So, aside from the freezing pool, everything was perfect. Would highly recommend this unit, especially if you're just looking at a short stay to go shopping.
I loved my stay! The condo looks really great and the owner is very responsive. 5 stars all the way! I'll stay again! :) Oh! The strip, the mall, and everything else is just a stone's throw away. It's that close! It's awesome! :)
