This cottage is at the higher end of the seaside village of Praa Sands. It really is only a five minute walk to the sea, a few more back up the hill. The village has a really lovely beach, but not much to please the foodie diner, just beach cafes. The Sandbar is worth a visit, but for really great food we recommend The Square at Porthleven.
The cottage itself has a well equipped kitchen and a blissfully comfortable bed. Despite being on the road into the village there is absolutely no noise and no light pollution, we slept better than at home. The WiFi connection was excellent. The cottage is a little bit sparsely furnished and I was tempted to clean the windows. The shower is a bit temperamental on temperature and if you're over 6' tall expect to bend your knees as the ceiling height in the bathroom is what you'd expect in a cottage. The stairs are really steep. Luke was very helpful in providing a reading light for the bedroom, but ladies if you're fussy about drying your hair then bring a mirror as there isn't a dressing table in the bedrooms.

The cottage is the perfect size for a small family or a couple. I visited with my boyfriend and sister and it was a great size to spend evenings in.
We were also able to take our small dog who really made the most of getting muddy and using the nice warm shower!
The cottage is in a great location, just a 5 min walk from the sandy beach, with beautiful cliff top walks and a 10 minute drive to Saint Michaels Mount. We also visited St. ives which is just half an hour away.
There are some great restaurants near by - The Falmouth Packet is a Gastropub just up the road with a good menu and tasty roasts. Nearby Porthleven has some excellent choices too with a new Rick Stein restaurant and 'The Square' which we visited and had a delicious meal.
Luke met us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. We hope to visit the cottage again in the summer and would highly recommend it to others.
